You can expect to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, driven by first principles engineering, solving difficult problems.\nJob Overview\nAs a R&D Engineering Technician, you will be the backbone of our compliance lab operations. You will build and maintain test infrastructure, enforce lab quality and safety standards, and enable unique testing capabilities - ensuring our lab runs with the precision and discipline that regulatory certification demands.\nHow You Will Contribute\nLab Infrastructure & Test Fixtures\nDesign, fabricate, and maintain test fixtures, including electrical wiring, soldering, and plumbing work required for power hardware test setups.\n\nMaintain a clean and organized, operational area.\n\nTest Equipment Operation\nSet up, operate, and maintain test equipment including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal chambers, data acquisition systems, and related instrumentation.\n\nSupport compliance test execution - configure equipment per test plans and ensure measurement integrity throughout test campaigns.\n\nTroubleshoot equipment issues.\n\nQuality Management & Safety\nAssist engineering in maintaining a ISO 17025 Quality Management System controls across all lab activities.\n\nSustain 5S practices throughout the lab.\n\nContribute to root cause analysis on test failures, equipment anomalies, and process deviations.\n\nWhat You Will Bring\nWe prioritize candidates who are hands-on, accountable, and take genuine pride in what they produce. You’re not just maintaining a space - you’re building the foundation that our certification work depends on.\nMust-Have Requirements\nProven ability to fabricate test fixtures, including hands-on electrical work (wiring, terminations, soldering, panel builds) and plumbing (fluid lines, fittings, pressure systems).\n\nProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment used in test fixture fabrication.\n\nHands-on experience operating test and measurement equipment: oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal chambers, data loggers, and similar instrumentation.\n\nExperience implementing and sustaining 5S in a lab or manufacturing environment.\n\nSkilled at root cause analysis and hands-on debugging of test failures and process issues.\n\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.\n\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail - you set the standard for how the lab looks and runs.\n\nPrior experience supervising or leading the work of other technicians.\n\nStrong QA and testing philosophy.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills.\n\nFamiliar with issue tracking software (i.e., JIRA).\n\nExposure to medium- or high-voltage power hardware test environments.\n\nNice-to-Haves\nExperience in a compliance, certification, or regulatory test laboratory for power electronics, electrical equipment, or similar products.\n\nFamiliarity with UL, IEC, or IEEE test standards and certification processes.\n\nIf you are passionate about technology and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
