You can expect to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, driven by first principles engineering, solving difficult problems.\nJob Overview\nWe are looking for a skilled Power Electronics PCBA technician to support rapid prototyping, engineering builds and reworks. This role is hands-on and essential to ensuring the reliability and quality of our product. You will lead the deployment of the R&D lab processes and drive hands-on assembly, test and troubleshooting of new products and product variants through all phases of the engineering lifecycle. Your technical and timely feedback to the engineering team is pivotal to drive product improvements and advancements with specific attention to safety, quality and reliability. This role is versatile in nature and welcomes innovative, outside-of-the-box thinking to drive excellence in our products.\nHow You Will Contribute\nPerform precision rework of complex multi-layer PCBA's, including soldering and rework of fine-pitch components under microscope\n\nSupport prototype builds for engineering teams, including board bring-up assistance and functional verification testing\n\nUse and maintain rework equipment including soldering irons, hot-air stations, microscopes and thermal tools\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering, reliability, test and operations) to develop processes for prototype builds, test, failure mode identification and troubleshooting playbook through various experimental set-ups and systems \n\nDocument learnings and failure modes, analyze data and communicate to cross-functional teams to drive product changes into future builds to track and to execute incremental improvements \n\nWhat You Will Bring\nWe have a short list of must-have requirements. We prioritize a strong grip on first principles, hands-on skills, and a sense of initiative. Domain-specific knowledge and experience will help determine the career level for each hire.\nMust Have Requirements\nProven track-record of hands-on technical assembly, troubleshooting and diagnostic experience, specifically working directly with highly complex PCBA's and electronic assemblies\n\nExperience in teardown, diagnostic and troubleshooting of complex manufactured assemblies\n\nFamiliarity and experience using hand tools, automated equipment or both for manufacturing of finished assemblies\n\nAbility to read and interpret design drawings for critical quality and assembly features to translate into execution\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team \n\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail \n\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills \n\nAbility to navigate ambiguity and complete ownership of change management through various product iterations and experiments \n\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs., with frequent standing, walking and bending \n\nNice to Haves\nDemonstrated strong electrical aptitude \n\nExperience with power electronics measurement equipment - oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, hipot \n\n3D Printing, CNC, Laser Cutting, Milling/Drilling, CATIA, Solidworks experience a plus \n\nExperience in PCB, wiring and/or sheet metal fabrication a plus \n\nPrior experience in an R&D, NPI or similar environment preferred \n\nIf you are passionate about technology and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
