Stock Controller

Are you a detail oriented stock professional who thrives in a fast paced environment? Join our team as a Stock Controller in Vryburg, where you'll keep our storerooms running smoothly and make sure our Field Operations and Fibre teams always have what they need.

This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys hands on work, and wants to be the backbone of a well organised supply chain.

What you'll do:

• Receive stock from suppliers via courier, direct delivery, and self collection
• Check incoming stock and book it into the stock system, including labelling and barcoding
• Sort and pack storerooms to keep everything in order
• Issue stock to Field Operations and Fibre Technicians
• Oversee and assist with issuing stock and transferring it to mobile warehouses (bakkies) in the accounting system
• Manage returns to suppliers for faulty items or incorrect orders
• Manage and report on write offs, faulty stock, end of life stock, and dead stock
• Maintain the stock system, including creating new items and processing journals
• Conduct stock takes and produce count and movement reports

What you'll need:

• Grade 12
• Two to three years of stock room experience
• A valid driver's licence
• Report writing experience
• Intermediate Excel and Word skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a technical mindset
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday
• A team player who deals professionally with people in all situations
