This role involves gathering and organizing financial data, preparing basic financial reports, and helping with variance analysis to identify discrepancies and trends. The Financial Analyst will also support the senior financial team with forecasting, financial modeling, and ad-hoc analyses as needed. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and financial software are essential.\nThis position is based on a 40 hour per week schedule typically Monday through Friday but could flex based on business schedule.\nSalary range between $65,000 - $80,000 based on experience\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nDuties will include but not be limited to:\nPrepares and reviews detailed product costing and variances\nPerforms month-end cost accounting closings\nMaintains the cost accounting systems and the cost ledger\nWorks closely with the Finance Manager and manufacturing personnel to provide financial support on various projects and product developments\nIs the primary point of contact for routine financial questions of staff members and external customers\nAssists in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing as well as budget, forecast and audits\nReconciliation of Accounts; Sales reconciliation\nManages the Fixed Asset Module\nParticipates in internal and external audits and Annual Physical Inventory count\nParticipates in preparing R&D, AMIS, NGOJF reports• Act as backup to the Manager, Finance in his/her absence\nConducts self at all times in a professional manner and adheres to all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements\nEnsures inventory costs are updated\nLogs Scrap parts in system, runs actual cost report, updates monthly scrap report\nRoll STD cost for new parts - prepares request forms and runs BOM, submits to PM and General Manager for approval\nRolls rework costs for Engineering Manager and costs for tool crib\nJob costing\nCost analysis - STD vs actual cost - for budget purposes (August-December)\nVariance analysis\nReviews PPV, and make list of parts to be re-rolled, submits to Finance and general Manager for approval\nSTD vs actual cost analysis meeting - for budget purposes (August-December)\nPrepare Progress Billing claim, reconciles with Longueuil\nRuns combo reports & graphs\nRuns monthly production time analysis ( makes sure all timesheets are posted) QC rate, overtime report\nPrepares the monthly, quarterly F/S\nAssists in the budget/forecast preparation\nAssists in external audit as well as 52-109 Internal audit\nPlans the work to ensure respect of schedule while keeping high standards of quality regarding information\nReconcile accounts\nAP and AR reconciliations.\nPreparing and disbursing monthly cheques.\nNGOF/AMIS files\nProvide production and program management with information necessary for decision making\nAny other duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelors Degree in Accounting.\n2-5 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment\nAble to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.\nAbility to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines.\nAbility to work in a team environment.\nCandidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR/CGRP directives.\nWe do not use AI in our recruitment process.\nThis posting is due to a current opening\nHeroux Devtek welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
