This learning-focused role provides practical experience supporting Windows and Dell laptops, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, and approved access requests in an ITAR-regulated, AS9100-certified manufacturing environment.\nThrough structured training and supervision, the intern will develop Tier 1 troubleshooting skills, resolve routine support requests within approved access limits, and create documentation that improves service consistency. Responsibilities will expand as training is completed and competency is demonstrated.\nMain responsibilities\nReceive, document, prioritize, and follow up on support tickets; communicate progress clearly and escalate issues outside assigned scope.\nTroubleshoot common Windows, Dell laptop, docking station, monitor, printer, and peripheral issues; assist with approved hardware swaps and workstation setup.\nAssist employees with iOS and Android device setup, company email and application access, and basic connectivity issues in accordance with company policies.\nSupport Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive; assist with approved mailbox, licensing, and collaboration requests using documented procedures.\nAssist with password resets, account unlocks, and approved account or group-membership requests in Windows and Active Directory environments after training and authorization.\nCoordinate and fulfill approved folder, shared-drive, email, hardware, software, and account-access requests; verify required approvals before making changes.\nAssist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment preparation, access-request tracking, and authorized account provisioning or deactivation.\nProvide basic UKG and Infor LN ERP sign-in and access-request support, routing requests to the appropriate system owner. Work is limited to authorized administrative tasks and excludes payroll, HR records, ERP configuration, and controlled program or technical data.\nTroubleshoot basic VPN and FortiClient installation, sign-in, and connectivity issues using established procedures; escalate firewall, network, and VPN configuration changes.\nInstall and update approved software; assist with laptop imaging, reimaging, deployment, and accurate hardware and software inventory records.\nAssist with defined endpoint security tasks. Perform any BitLocker recovery steps only under direct supervision and with authorization from the designated approver.\nCreate and maintain standard operating procedures, knowledge-base articles, troubleshooting guides, and ticket-resolution notes.\nComplete a documentation or process-improvement project, share the results with the IT lead and HR, and participate in skills reviews and feedback sessions.\nOur ideal candidate\nCurrently pursuing a degree, certificate, or technical training in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or able to demonstrate equivalent foundational skills.\nBasic familiarity with Windows computers, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, and common computer hardware; coursework, labs, personal projects, or customer-service experience are welcome.\nA logical approach to troubleshooting and a willingness to follow instructions, document work, ask questions, and learn new systems.\nClear communication, patience, and a service-oriented approach when helping employees with different levels of technical experience.\nStrong attention to detail, organization, reliability, and discretion when handling company information.\nAbility to work within approved access limits, recognize when an issue requires escalation, and seek authorization before making changes.\nAbility to support employees and equipment in office and manufacturing areas while following site safety requirements.\nExposure to Active Directory, ticketing systems, Dell hardware, FortiClient, UKG, or ERP systems is helpful but not required. Prior aerospace experience is not required.\nSecurity and compliance expectations\nComplete required company security screening, export-control review, confidentiality agreements, acceptable-use training, and cybersecurity orientation before receiving system access.\nFollow company policies and applicable government, customer, and export-control requirements, including requirements associated with ITAR-controlled information.\nUse only assigned, approved access and follow least-privilege procedures.
