This role owns the Master Production Schedule (MPS), capacity planning and constraint management while driving schedule stability and execution performance. The position serves as the central point of coordination across operations, procurement and commercial teams and leads a team of production planners.\nMain responsibilities:\nSIOP & Demand-Supply Alignment\nLead the supply planning process within SIOP (monthly and weekly cycles).\nTranslate demand forecasts into feasible production and capacity plans\nIdentify capacity gaps, imbalances and risks across the horizon.\nPerform scenario and what-if analysis to support decision-making.\nPartner cross-functionally to align demand priorities with supply capabilities.\nMaster Production Scheduling\nDevelop, maintain and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS).\nBalance customer demand with operational capacity and constraints.\nEstablish planning time fences and scheduling policies.\nMaintain schedule stability while adapting to changing priorities.\nCapacity Planning & Constraint Management\nOwn rough-cut and finite capacity planning across key work centers.\nManage and optimize bottleneck resources at all operations.\nDrive constraint utilization and throughput improvement.\nAlign capacity plans with future demand requirements.\nProduction Scheduling & Execution\nEstablish and communicate daily and weekly production priorities.\nSequence jobs to optimize flow, reduce changeovers and improve delivery performance.\nManage hot jobs and expedite requests using structured prioritization.\nContinuously rescheduling work based on demand, performance and constraints.\nProblem Identification & Resolution\nProactively identify risks including overloads, delays and bottlenecks.\nAnalyze root causes of schedule disruptions and capacity issues.\nLead cross-functional resolution efforts with operations, procurement and quality.\nEscalate risks with data-driven recommendations.\nPlanning Team Leadership\nLead and develop production planners (direct reports).\nStandardize planning processes, tools and best practices.\nDefine clear ownership and accountability across planning activities.\nMonitor team performance and drive capability development.\nReporting & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop and track key planning KPIs and performance metrics.\nImprove schedule adherence, stability and execution.\nReduce expedite frequency and reactive planning.\nDrive ERP (Infor LN) system utilization and data accuracy.\nIdentify and implement process improvements in planning and scheduling.\nOur ideal candidate:\nThe ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented production planning or supply chain professional with 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or defense. They bring a strong understanding of SIOP/S&OP, capacity planning, production scheduling, manufacturing processes, and constraint-based planning, with the ability to identify risks, balance competing priorities, and translate operational data into clear, actionable decisions.\nThis individual should be highly proficient in ERP systems, with Infor LN strongly preferred, as well as advanced in Microsoft Excel and data analysis. They should have demonstrated experience using data to support planning decisions, improve schedule performance, conduct root cause analysis, and drive continuous process improvement.\nSuccess in this role also requires strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across operations, supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, and other business functions in a fast-paced environment.
