Multidisciplinary teamwork is the key to our success and makes Héroux-Devtek an innovative and agile company.\n What we offer?\nLeaders who invest in your success and your development daily.\nCompetitive salaries linked to performance and hybrid working hours (depending on responsibilities)\nA comprehensive group insurance plan and a very competitive pension plan\nSupport for the payment of contributions to the professional order or relevant certifications & Trainings\nFunding for additional technical, linguistic, and behavioral training relevant to the role and development.\nFree access to a virtual doctor and the employee assistance program (24/7)\nSocial activities for all employees (BBQ, Golf, Christmas parties, etc.) and unlimited hot drinks!\nGenerous referral bonuses and advantageous recognition programs\nA motivating work environment and a human management style where you can make a difference\nSummary :\nReporting to the Procurement Director, the Technical Buyer is primarily responsible for selecting and establishing the supply chain for landing gear system development projects, ensuring compliance with cost, schedule, and quality objectives while supporting the company's overall strategy.\nResponsibilities:\nAct as the primary technical procurement focal point for assigned programs.\nDefine the list of potential suppliers and lead the RFQ process for equipment and components included in the landing gear system Bill of Materials, including both design and build-to-print suppliers, to support the production of prototype landing gear systems and initial customer deliveries.\nEvaluate, recommend, and obtain management approval for selected suppliers.\nNegotiate contracts and commercial agreements with selected suppliers in accordance with assigned objectives, including non-recurring costs (NRC), recurring costs (RC), and the mitigation of contractual risks, while ensuring alignment with customer contract requirements.\nReview purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in compliance with established procedures.\nObtain manufacturing drawings, technical documentation, and fabrication requirements when required.\nManage supplier contracts and procurement records.\nFollow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of products in accordance with project schedules.\nMaintain accurate delivery information and procurement data within the ERP system.\nIdentify, communicate, and escalate critical issues to management as required.\nVisit supplier facilities to resolve technical, quality, or delivery-related issues when necessary.\nMaintain planning and procurement parameters up to date.\nMonitor supplier performance and provide regular feedback to support continuous improvement.\nCollaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Project Management teams to ensure the technical compliance of purchased products and equipment.\nAnalyze technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs) to identify and qualify the most suitable suppliers.\nManage engineering changes (ECNs/ECRs) with suppliers and ensure their timely implementation throughout the product lifecycle.\nOur ideal candidate:\nBachelor’s degree in Operations Management or Engineering.\nThe candidate must have five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including a minimum of three (3) years in the aerospace industry.\nExperience in commercial and contractual negotiations is required, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.\nThe successful candidate must be bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken, and demonstrate strong adaptability in a dynamic environment.\nKnowledge of MRP/ERP systems is required, as well as familiarity with aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements..\nWork culture and environment\nAre you known for your ability to adapt and learn?
