This position combines professional driving responsibilities with outstanding customer service, ensuring every delivery reflects the quality and reliability our customers expect from Herrington's.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafely transport building materials and other products to customer job sites and company locations.\nLoad, unload, and secure materials using approved equipment and safe handling practices.\nPrepare and maintain delivery paperwork, receipts, invoices, and transportation records.\nComplete vehicle inspections and daily maintenance reports.\nMaintain accurate driver logs and comply with all applicable state, federal, and DOT regulations.\nCommunicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers regarding schedules and delivery needs.\nIdentify and report customer concerns, service opportunities, and business needs.\nProfessionally assist with customer service issues and delivery-related questions.\nImmediately report accidents, incidents, near misses, or traffic stops.\nParticipate in required safety training, testing, and certification programs.\nAssist with warehouse and yard operations when deliveries are completed.\nFollow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.\nContribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.\nQualifications\nRequired\nValid driver's license with a safe driving record.\nAbility to meet all applicable DOT requirements and regulations.\nForklift certification, or the ability to successfully complete company-provided training.\nStrong commitment to workplace safety and customer satisfaction.\nDependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude.\nPreferred\nOne year or more of delivery driving experience, preferably in building materials, construction, or a related industry.\nPhysical Requirements\nRegularly communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.\nSafely operate delivery vehicles, forklifts, and material-handling equipment.\nFrequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.\nOccasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.\nPerform physical duties related to loading, unloading, and product handling.\nWork Environment\nFrequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.\nExposure to dust, airborne particles, fumes, and vibration.\nOccasional exposure to moving mechanical equipment and electrical hazards.\nFast-paced work environment with moderate to high noise levels.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nEd Herrington, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
