Following established work instructions and procedures, this role assembles, tests, and troubleshoots hardware while also setting up, operating, and maintaining production equipment. The Assembly Technician completes accurate production documentation and supports quality control efforts to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high standards of workmanship.\nWe are looking for individuals who are hungry, humble, and smart-those who take initiative, continuously seek to improve their skills and processes, collaborate effectively with others, and approach their work with accountability and respect. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Assembly Technician works closely with cross-functional team members to meet production schedules, solve problems, and contribute to a positive, high-performing team environment.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nAssemble, integrate, and test electromechanical systems, including electrical components, mechanical parts, and wiring, while interpreting and following blueprints, technical diagrams, procedures, work instructions, and forms. Operate production and test equipment.\nOperate heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes. Drive company vehicles and trailers as required.\nComplete production work orders, checklists, test reports, and other forms accurately.\nBuild technical skills through on-the-job learning, cross-training, and collaboration with senior technicians. Apply feedback and coaching to expand knowledge of assembly processes and troubleshooting techniques.\nFoster effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.\nContribute to efforts to enhance production processes to increase efficiency and quality. Work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality and technical issues.\nUphold industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines in all activities. Other Duties as required. \nQualifications & Experience:\nRequired:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n2-5 years of experience as an electromechanical technician, assembler, or in a similar hands-on technical role\nSolid mechanical aptitude regarding electromechanical assembly and the tools/equipment used to manufacture products, with experience in precision assembly and component fitting\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems in a production environments\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated passion for operational excellence, innovation, and finding solutions as problems arise\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain credibility in customer, supplier, and co-worker interactions\nProactive approach to identifying and resolving issues to drive projects to successful completion in a team environment\nAbility to quickly learn and apply new concepts in evolving environments while adjusting work approaches to address complex problems\nDemonstrated ability to be meticulous and thorough in completing work tasks, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to specifications and standards\nEfficiently manages time to meet production deadlines\nAble to perform assigned tasks independently with moderate supervision in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and accuracy.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Basic computer skills for inventory management, using manufacturing software, or entering production data\nClean driving record, and the ability to drive with a trailer and pass a Commercial Driver Fitness Determination\nPreferred:\nAssociate's degree in manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering, industrial technology, or a related field\n2-5 years of experience assembling and testing complex mechanical products\n2-5 years hands-on experience with tools and equipment: familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machinery\nForklift or Crane Certification: If the role requires operating heavy machinery\nExcellent mechanical aptitude\nSafety Certifications: OSHA certification or similar workplace safety certification\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to perform hands-on assembly work for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.\nAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance.\nAbility to use hands and fingers to handle, assemble, and manipulate small components and tools requiring fine motor skills and precision.\nAbility to operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and effectively.\nAbility to operate or be trained to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.\nAbility to safely operate company vehicles and trailers, including entering and exiting vehicles and securing loads.\nVisual acuity sufficient to read technical documents, blueprints, and computer screens, and to inspect components for quality and accuracy (including close vision and depth perception).\nAbility to work in a manufacturing or production environment, which may include exposure to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and varying temperatures.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear.\nAbility to remain focused and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment while performing repetitive tasks.\nBenefits Overview:\nHeven AeroTech offers a competitive benefits package designed to support the health, financial security, and overall well-being of our employees and their families.
