You’ll partner with Account Executives to lead technical discoveries, understand customer architectures, uncover integration challenges, and influence technical decision-making.\nWe’re looking for someone who is highly skilled in technical discovery conversations, databases, APIs, and modern SaaS architectures. Experience with ETL, ELT, or data warehouses is preferred, but strong database expertise with exceptional solutioning ability is equally valuable.\nAt Hevo, Sales Engineers directly influence deal outcomes and are rewarded through strong variable compensation tied to technical deal impact and successful evaluations.\nResponsibilities\nLead technical discovery conversations with customer engineering and data teams\nUnderstand customer architecture, databases, APIs, integrations, and data workflows\nDeliver tailored product demos aligned to customer use cases\nOwn PoCs and technical validations with clear success criteria\nPartner with AEs on technical strategy, objections, and competitive positioning\nSupport RFPs/RFIs and technical evaluations\nBuild customer confidence through strong solution design and consultative problem-solving\nCollaborate with Product and Engineering teams to relay customer feedback\nRequirements\n5- 8 years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Solution Architecture within B2B SaaS\nStrong experience handling technical discovery conversations for Global customers\nSolid understanding of:SQL/NoSQL databases\nREST APIs and integrations\nData architectures and system design\nCloud and SaaS ecosystems\nExperience with ETL/ELT, data warehouses, or analytics platforms (Ideal)\nExposure to Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks (Ideal)\nStrong database expertise with excellent technical problem-solving is also a strong fit (Must Have)\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nComfortable working US hours from Bengaluru/Pune
