Open up opportunities with HPE.\nJob Description:\nAs a member of Hewlett Packard Enterprise hardware team, the hardware lab technician will use their hardware knowledge to assist in qualification and troubleshooting expertise to enable the launch of new programs and resolution of issues in sustaining products. The successful candidate shall have a working knowledge of test equipment, troubleshooting, Linux, electronic debugging skill set and soldering.\nResponsibilities\nAbility to prototype new hardware for proof of concept study\nBenchmark and test new/current platforms and components\nProvide test and qualification reports and results in a timely manner\nDocument detailed description of failure and steps to reproduce it\nManage bugs assigned in JIRA and provide timely updates\nWork with the extended engineering team to troubleshoot field returns\nConduct Failure Analysis on Hewlett Packard Enterprise hardware appliances\nConduct component level troubleshooting including at the PCBA level\nCollaborate with Hardware Engineer on failure analysis\nWork closely with the Quality team to provide guidance on failure modes\nAssist in the processing, disposition, and tracking of returned appliances\nAbility to setup, test, and monitor systems in the reliability destructive testing (RDT) rack\nAbility to load OS, firmware, and drivers onto the platforms and/or components\nAssist cross-functional teams in troubleshooting systems when required\nRequirements\nMinimum 2 years’ experience in a similar environment supporting qualification and troubleshoot of X86 servers, Storage appliance, and/or switches\nProficient with soldering through-hole and SMT\nThis position is a hands-on role and duties are performed at Hewlett Packard Enterprise test laboratory\nCapable of reading MPI to understand system assembly process\nAble to read schematics and decipher circuit board layout\nWorking knowledge of test and measurement equipment, troubleshooting and electronic debugging is required\nWorking knowledge of networking and system configuration is required\nProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems like Salesforce, Agile and Xataface\nFamiliarity with embedded x86, chipset, PCIe, SATA/NVMe, networking technologies, system architecture with hands on troubleshooting/testing a plus\nWorking knowledge of Software troubleshooting (Linux environment) a plus\nSome Mechanical knowledge a plus\nEffective written and oral communication\nAbility to lift 65lbs on a regular basis\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
