Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s business and serve as a trusted advisor by building and maintaining effective relationships that support customer satisfaction. Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and contribute to the company’s solutions portfolio by sharing technical expertise, proven methodologies, and insights gained from customer engagements. Help shape technical direction and strategy for both the organization and its customers. Maintain strong chargeability levels, or provide expense relief for internal teams, while supporting revenue growth and customer satisfaction goals. Contribute to profitability by identifying and developing new business opportunities and providing technical input for proposal development.\nJob Level Definition:\nContributes by applying developed subject-matter expertise to solve routine and occasionally complex technical issues and recommends alternatives when needed. May serve as a project lead and support junior team members. Use independent judgment and collaborate with others to determine the best approach for completing work and achieving objectives.\nResponsibilities:\nReport daily and work onsite at the customer location.\nMonitors and maintains the health of HPC systems, including compute, network, and storage.\nTroubleshoots and repairs hardware issues.\nPerform daily hardware diagnostics and repairs.\nCreates, tracks, and closes assigned support cases and ensures that all open cases on teams assigned systems are completed to customers satisfaction. Returns parts in accordance with company policy and customer SLA’s.\nMaintains availability reports to track service level agreements (SLAs).\nMaintains the on-call schedule to support 24x7x2/4 coverage year-round.\nSupports new system installations with hands on hardware and software and customer acceptance testing.\nWork collaboratively as part of a team and maintain strong relationships with team members and customers.\nMaintain onsite parts inventory.\nOccasional travel for training is required.\nMentors junior team members in issue and case management, skill development, and alignment with organizational goals.\nEducation and Experience Qualifications:\n4+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (7+ years in total).\nClearance: Requires appropriate level of security clearance for site/contract - TS clearance; TS/SCI is preferred.\nCertifications: Requires CompTIA Security+ and Linux+ certifications or equivalents such as RHCSA, RHCE, CISSP etc. (Candidates who do not already hold it must obtain the certification before the start date.)\nLocation: Must be located near the customer required assigned work location.\nExperience: HW installation and repair - to include servers, storage, switches, etc.\nAvailability to work on-site as required to support rotational, after-hours, and weekend on-call schedules.\nKnowledge and Skills:\nSelf-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.\nExtensive experience troubleshooting and diagnosing Linux-based hardware.\nAbility to clearly communicate issue impact and expected outcomes to both customers and HPE teams.\nAbility to work in a multi-technology environment and diagnose complex technical issues to their root cause.\nConfidently communicate with internal and external senior management while maintaining a high level of professionalism.\nAdditional skills: Leadership, accountability, active listening, client expectations management, critical thinking, cross-functional teamwork, customer-centric solutions, customer relationship management (CRM), follow-through, growth mindset, long-term planning, managing ambiguity, process improvement, product services, and relationship building.\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
