Open up opportunities with HPE.\nJob Description:\nThe Manufacturing Product Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of product engineers and manufacturing professionals to successfully introduce, manufacture, and sustain products throughout their lifecycle. This role serves as the primary interface between R&D, New Product Introduction (NPI), Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Test Engineering, and external manufacturing partners to ensure successful product launches, operational excellence, superior quality, cost competitiveness, and continuous improvement. The manager drives strategic and tactical execution across multiple product lines while developing organizational capability and delivering business performance objectives.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and manage a team of product engineering and manufacturing professionals, typically overseeing 8-15 direct reports.\nOwn product engineering activities across multiple product lines, ensuring achievement of key business metrics including quality, cost, delivery, inventory, yield, and customer satisfaction.\nPartner with R&D, NPI, Supply Chain, Quality, Reliability, Test Engineering, and factory operations teams to successfully transition products from development into high-volume manufacturing.\nCoordinate and lead internal and outsourced manufacturing partners throughout the entire product lifecycle, from New Product Introduction through end-of-life.\nDrive root cause analysis and resolution of product quality, reliability, yield, and manufacturing issues.\nEvaluate customer feedback, manufacturing data, test results, and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.\nLead product sustainment initiatives, including cost reduction programs, yield improvement projects, and manufacturing process optimization.\nRepresent product engineering and manufacturing operations in cross-functional business reviews, product escalations, and strategic planning discussions.\nEnsure delivery of products and services that meet performance expectations established by business and senior leadership.\nDrive operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nProactively identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain continuity of supply and manufacturing efficiency.\nEnsure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.\nInfluence strategic decisions by providing technical, operational, and business recommendations to leadership.\nPeople Leadership Responsibilities\nHire, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing engineering and operations team.\nEstablish performance objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support employee career development.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.\nProvide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.\nAllocate resources effectively to meet product, operational, and business priorities.\nBuild organizational capability through succession planning and talent development.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field\nAdvanced degree preferred.\n4-6 years of experience in manufacturing, product engineering, operations, supply chain, or related disciplines.\nAdvanced English Level.\nDemonstrated experience supporting new product introduction and product lifecycle management.\nDemonstrated people leadership experience, including direct management of employees and team development.\nExperience working with global manufacturing operations and outsourced manufacturing partners preferred.\n\nKnowledge, Skills & Competencies\nStrong understanding of product engineering, manufacturing operations, and product lifecycle management.\nExpertise in manufacturing processes, quality systems, product validation, and engineering problem-solving methodologies.\nStrong analytical, quantitative, and data-driven decision-making skills.\nExperience utilizing engineering tools, statistical analysis, and manufacturing performance metrics.\nKnowledge of hardware, electrical, and mechanical product development and manufacturing processes.\nProven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in complex global environments.\nExcellent project and program management skills.\nStrong business acumen with the ability to balance technical and operational priorities.\nExceptional communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills.\nAbility to effectively engage with engineering teams, senior leadership, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.\nWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nStrong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills.\nUnderstanding of regulatory compliance requirements and corporate operational policies.\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
