Open up opportunities with HPE.\nJob Description:\nThe Resident Consultant is an integral part of our mission within the enterprise sector, providing pre & post-sales support of Juniper Networks products. You will be part of a customer account that has experienced high, steady growth. You will be the trusted advisor to our customers working on-site supporting our mission to help them quickly and completely adopt the Juniper portfolio of products. This is a highly technical role, requiring expert-level skill sets on our products and solutions deployed within the customer's environment. You will be responsible for working side-by-side with supporting the customer's operations.\n***This is a teleworker role with the requirement of one week per month of on-site work at the San Francisco Airport. You must be willing to travel.***\nRole Responsibilities:\nHold network information gathering workshops to understand the Customer’s existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs.\nTroubleshoot network design and architecture issues.\nProvide network design leadership, assisting in identifying and building solutions.\nAnalyze network and device configurations. \nTest product features and functionality\nProvide deployment guidance to ensure consistent implementations with design specifications.\nFacilitate informal workshops to transfer knowledge to engineering staff.\nApply industry best practices to network design, planning, and implementation.\nApply extensive industry experience to optimize network performance and proactively analyze potential enhancements.\nEvaluate technical specifications for interoperability.\nTroubleshoot equipment and network problems, work with JTAC to resolve problems on pre- and post-production issues.\nProduce a written summary report of the status of Design projects, equipment and network problems regularly to the Customer \nTrain the Customer’s design, implementation, and support personnel to configure and operate the Juniper Networks products\nAssist in developing Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures\nSupport the production environment of Juniper products within the Customer infrastructure\nSupport ongoing efforts in defining best practice policies for Juniper product applications used by Customer \nKnowledge and Skills:\nAbility to communicate effectively in crises with all levels of an organization from Engineering/Operations to CIO/CISO audiences. \nAbility to refine and translate complex requirements and execute best practice solutions. \nAssisted with major network upgrades, maintenance windows, and changes in the customer network. \nStrong customer interface and presentation skills. \nCustomer education - TOI’s and Lunch & Learns. \nOther tasks and duties as needed to support the customer and/or business\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMinimum 10 years of design, implementation, and operational experience in large-scale IP networks. \nJUNOS CLI experience. \nMust have large-scale experience with Juniper hardware (MX, EX, QFX, SRX and MIST products)\nEVPN-VXLAN Campus & Data Center Juniper switching fabric experience\nSRX high-end/mid-range/branch experience (FW policy, IPS, IPSec VPN, HA clustering)\nExperience with core routing BGP, OSPF protocols. \nExperience with design and/or deployment of routing and switching products within the Customer infrastructure.\nExperience using, evaluating, and developing appropriate engineering design tools and software packages.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExtensive experience EVPN/MPLS. E-Line (VPWS), E-LAN (VPLS), L3VPN over MPLS, L2VPN over MPLS, IS-IS, RSVP-TE, LDP\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
