Open up opportunities with HPE.\nJob Description:\nHPE is seeking to hire a Sr. Cloud Developer to work in our San Jose, CA office on a hybrid schedule. This person will be mostly developing in Golang.\nThe Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems.\nThis role brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions.\nCollaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements.\nThe Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.\nLocation: This a Hybrid Position in our San Jose, CA office. This require at least 2 days of week in office.\nResponsibilities:\nLeads feature design and development of complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration for building efficient, scalable, and robust cloud subsystems.\nReviews and evaluates designs, test plans, and develops code for compliance with cloud design and development guidelines and standards.\nProvides tangible feedback to improve product quality, mitigate risks and demonstrates critical thinking.\nRepresents the engineering team in various technical forums and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.\nDrives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.\nAnalyzes science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.\n\nEducation and Experience Required:\nBachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.\n7 + years of experience in software development with cloud development experience.\nKnowledge and Skills:\n5+ years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable and distributed cloud software applications\nDemonstrated expertise working with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms\nSolid knowledge of cloud security, best practices, standards and tooling\nStrong programming skills in Golang\nWorking experience of microservices backend development using Kubernetes and Docker\nExperience in designing and building GraphQL and Restful APIs\nExperienced with ArangoDB AQL or other Graph database\nExperience in performance analysis and tools\n(Preferred) Working knowledge of large event stream platforms (Kafka or similar message bus architecture), AAA/NAC, Databases (Clickhouse, Postgres)\nSelf-starter with excellent analytical and problem solving skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
