Open up opportunities with HPE.\nJob Description:\nThe Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect the organization’s information systems and infrastructure. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring security threats, and developing strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.\nTheSenior Cybersecurity Engineer designs and builds secure system infrastructures and architectures by establishing business requirements, translating them into secure technical solutions, and testing and ensuring the performance and capacity of security solutions.\nTheSenior Cybersecurity Engineer contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop, implement, and manage security solutions to safeguard organizational assets.\nConduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans.\nMonitor network traffic and security alerts for suspicious activity.\nRespond to security incidents and coordinate incident response efforts.\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats and technologies.\nCollaborate with IT and other departments to enforce security policies.\nAssist in compliance and audit activities related to security standards.\nParticipate as a member of and leads development teams. \nPerforms analysis of complex functional and business requirements.\nPrepares code stubs for others. \nCompletes code to implement solutions. \nDesigns solutions for others to code. \nParticipates in cross-functional teams. \nLeads design activities. \nMay provide mentoring and guidance to other developers. \nDesigns, prepares and executes Unit tests. \nRepresents team to client/customers.\nDemonstrates technical leadership, and exerts influence outside of immediate team. \nDevelops innovative team solutions to complex problems. \nContributes to strategic direction for teams.\nApplies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to provide maintenance solutions across one or more technology areas (e.g. Database Administration).\nPerforms solution design. \nApplies the company and 3rd party technologies and leads design of highly complex infrastructure and software solutions.\nIndependently implements end- user or enterprise infrastructure or services of significant complexity.\nIntegrates technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for the company and customers. \nMentors and consults with team members and other organizations, customer and vendors on complex issues.\nEducation and Experience Required:\nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.\n 5+years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, network security, or a similar role.\nKnowledge and Skills:\nCybersecurity knowledge: Strong understanding of security principles, threat management, vulnerability assessment, risk management, and incident response.\nTechnical skills: Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, vulnerability scanners, and network monitoring solutions.\nIncident response: Ability to investigate security alerts, identify threats, and support or lead incident response activities.\nRisk & compliance: Experience conducting risk assessments and vulnerability scans, as well as supporting security audits and compliance activities.\nSecurity policies: Ability to implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls in collaboration with IT and business teams.\nProblem-solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to assess security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.\nCommunication: Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical security matters to non-technical teams.\nContinuous learning: Proactive approach to staying up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices.\nCertifications: Beneficial are relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or equivalent would be an advantage.\nLanguages: Good English communication skills.\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
