Open up opportunities with HPE.\nJob Description:\nRole: Senior Engineering Program Manager\nThe Senior Engineering Program Manager provides customer-facing operational leadership for complex service delivery and engineering programs. This role owns the coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of cross-functional initiatives that improve delivery performance, strengthen operational governance, and reduce risk across the customer lifecycle.\nThe role serves as a central point of program leadership across engineering, service delivery, and operational stakeholders, translating business needs into structured plans, driving accountability to milestones, and ensuring that processes, tools, and measurements support consistent outcomes.\nThis position combines reactive program leadership-such as major incident oversight, remediation planning, and escalations management-with proactive improvement ownership, including continuous service improvement initiatives, business case development, and implementation of process and tooling enhancements.\nSuccess in this role requires strong cross-functional leadership, stakeholder communication, analytical problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic, customer-facing environments.\nHow will you make your mark:\nLead complex engineering and service delivery programs involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and interdependent initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, milestones, risk registers, and resource assumptions to support successful delivery.\nCoordinate cross-functional teams to ensure progress against commitments, resolve blockers, and align priorities with customer and business objectives.\nDrive continuous service improvement initiatives by identifying delivery gaps, proposing solutions, developing business cases, and leading execution of approved improvements.\nOwn action planning and follow-through for missed service level objectives, escalations, and remediation activities.\nMonitor major incident and problem management processes, including RCA delivery, corrective actions, and customer-facing follow-up actions.\nProvide program governance, status reporting, and executive-ready communications on progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions needed.\nManage customer-facing operational processes and access-related coordination for platforms and service tools as applicable.\nSupport MACD, expansion, onboarding, or service transition initiatives where operational readiness and delivery coordination are required.\nMentor less-experienced team members and promote program management best practices, consistency, and accountability across teams.\nAbout you:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Operations Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.\nTypically 8-12 years of experience in program management, engineering operations, technical delivery, or a related function, including experience leading complex cross-functional programs.\nExperience working in customer-facing, engineering, service delivery, or technology operations environments is strongly preferred.\nDemonstrated experience managing program schedules, risks, dependencies, stakeholder communications, and process improvement initiatives.\nProject or program management certification such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certification is preferred.\nKnowledge and Skills:\nStrong knowledge of program and project management methodologies, governance practices, and lifecycle planning.\nAdvanced ability to build and manage integrated schedules, track milestones, manage dependencies, and drive execution across matrixed teams.\nExcellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess business impact and make sound decisions.\nStrong business acumen with experience developing business cases, prioritizing work, and aligning delivery decisions to strategic goals.\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, technical teams, and senior leadership.\nExperience leading continuous improvement, service improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.\nWorking knowledge of incident management, problem management, root cause analysis, and service delivery metrics.\nProficiency with program management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.\nAbility to influence without direct authority, negotiate priorities, manage conflict, and build alignment across diverse stakeholders.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
