Open up opportunities with HPE.\nJob Description:\nSoftware Engineer 2 - Wireless Access Point Development\nLocation (Hybrid): Sunnyvale, CA or Cupertino, CA\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and bring up firmware for new 802.11 access point hardware.\nDesign and implement high-performance device drivers for wireless and wired networking.\nCollaborate with hardware engineers to define and shape new products.\nBSP and boardbring up, Kernel modules development.\nPartner with data analytics teams to build intelligent, adaptive wireless networks.\nWork closely with customers and product managers to resolve issues and deliver new features.\nProactively identify opportunities to create customer value through technical innovation.\nDevelop and bring up firmware for new 802.11 access point hardware.\nBasic Qualifications:\none year of software development in networking industry\nA persistent, creative, and solution-oriented mindset.\nStrong proficiency in C programming.\nDeep experience with Linux kernel and OS development.\nAbility to work across the embedded stack: bootloader, device drivers, kernel, and user space.\nSolid understanding of 802.11/Wi-Fi and wired networking protocols.\nStrong knowledge of ARM CPU architecture.\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHigh-level systems languages (e.g., Python, Go).\nAssembly languages (e.g., ARM, x86).\nBroadcom or QCA or Mediatek wireless drivers.\n802.11ac/ax/be standards and Wi-Fi fast roaming.\nSecurity protocols and secure system design.\nCollaboration with machine learning and data science teams.\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
