In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, and Hardware Engineering teams to validate next-generation networking platforms and software. You will develop test strategies, automate complex networking test scenarios, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and help deliver high-quality networking products.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy networking technologies, automation, and solving complex technical challenges in a collaborative engineering environment.\nWhat You'll Do\nCollaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, and Hardware teams to review product requirements and technical designs.\nDevelop comprehensive functional, system, and regression test plans for networking software and platforms.\nExecute manual and automated test cases to validate functionality, scalability, reliability, and performance.\nDesign, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python\nIntegrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to improve product quality and release efficiency.\nIdentify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and document software and hardware defects.\nPartner with development teams to isolate root causes and verify fixes.\nValidate Layer 2/Layer 3 networking features, routing protocols, and network services.\nPerform hardware qualification and validation testing for new networking platforms.\nContribute to continuous improvements in testing processes, automation, and product quality.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.\nBachelor's degree with 2+ years of software testing experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience.\nExperience developing and executing software test plans and test cases.\nHands-on experience with Python for test automation.\nStrong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in several of the following areas is highly desirable:\n2+ years of software testing experience in networking, IP services, or network operating systems.\nLayer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies, including:Ethernet\nVLANs\nQuality of Service (QoS)\nClass of Service (CoS)\nLoad Balancing\nOpenConfig Telemetry\nP4 Runtime (P4RT)\nFirewall technologies\n\nRouting and transport protocols, including:BGP\nOSPF\nIS-IS\nMPLS\nRSVP\nMulticast\nL2VPN\nL3VPN\nVPLS\n\nExperience working in Linux, FreeBSD, and virtualized environments.\nHands-on experience with network test equipment such as Spirent or Ixia.\nKnowledge of software testing methodologies including unit, integration, system, regression, black-box, and solution testing.\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
