Open up opportunities with HPE.\nJob Description:\nJob Title: EMC Design Senior Engineer\nExperience: 5-7 Years\nLocation: Taiwan\nEmployment Type: Full-Time\nPosition Summary\nHPE is seeking an EMC Design Engineer to work on sophisticated, high-end and industry leading next generation networking products. This role will support product design, debugging, and validation testing for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) for current and next generation of networking products. The Engineer will be responsible for meeting products international regulatory and customer EMC-related requirements in cost-effective manner. The EMC Design engineer engages as early as practical in the R&D cycle to ensure compliance by design and to avoid costly retrofits. The EMC Design engineer will typically be working on multiple projects concurrently.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview and recommend schematic designs (clock terminations, filters, etc) and components (capacitors, inductors, ferrites, common mode chokes, etc) to minimize EM radiation.\nReviewing schematics and layout for main boards, daughter cards and pluggables to mitigate EMI issues at system level.\nReview and recommend CAD layouts (stackups, trace routing strategies, crosstalk mitigation, etc) to minimize EM radiation.\nReview and guide mechanical designs to maximize shielding effectiveness of chassis or enclosures.\nOverview EMC testing and debug any failures using EM troubleshooting.\nEngage with and provide feedback to Hardware, Power, Thermal, Signal Integrity, Test teams and Program Managers as needed.\nDevelop and review EMC test plans and prototype allocation requirements.\nProvide feedback and support ODM partners with cost effective EMC design.\nCultivate good working relationships with customers, external suppliers, ODMs, Power Supply vendors, test labs and other partners.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\nSuccessful completion of advanced courses on electromagnetic theory or physics.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nKnowledge of international standards (CISPR, IEC, EN, ETSI, GR, DT, BT, KN) and procedures related to obtaining Worldwide product certifications.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster of Science (MS) in electrical engineering, physics, or related engineering field\nDesired Skills\nStrong attention to detail.\nTeamwork mindset.\nAbility to manage multiple configuration tasks simultaneously.\nExcellent organizational and documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nCustomer-focused with a commitment to quality.\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
