Open up opportunities with HPE.\nJob Description:\nThis position interacts directlywith HPE EngineeringandSupply Chain Operationsand close collaboration with all HPE manufacturing partners (ODMs/CMs) in the EMEA and APAC regions.\nLeadsValue Engineering (VE) initiatives across manufacturingpartnersites andproduct lines, identifyingdesign, materials, and process opportunities to reduce totalproductcostsand improve manufacturability, quality, without compromising product performance or reliability.\nCollaborateswith Manufacturing Partners (ODMs and CMs),R&D, Sustaining Engineering, quality, Commodity Management,and production teams to drive continuous Sustaining Product cost-optimization, Supply continuity, and Field Customer Support through our Quality & Sustaining Engineering team.\nResponsibilities:\nAccountable for results of a major category, supply chain, product line or program in terms of strategy, costcost savings, direction and people management.\nThe interaction includes material customer escalation support activity, multi-sourcing, cost reduction, and activities supporting supply assurance and stability.\nLeadsproduct and componentlevel VEcost savingsprojectsand workshops across ODMs and CMs \nReviewsproduct data BOMs, Designto identifypart reduction, material substitution, and, where possible, process modifications for cost-reduction opportunities\nEngages throughout the entire product life cycleto influence multi-sourcing, supply continuityand optimized costsat the design stage\nWork with ODM and CM partners, developsVE proposals with cost-benefit analysis, ROI, and risk assessments to SCO & engineeringleadership\nCollaborateswith product design, procurement, quality, and production engineering(HPE and Partners)to implement approved cost-reduction changes\nTracks and report VE/cost-out savings against targets, project budgets\nMaintain database of VE ideas, to be cost models, and lessons learned across product families\nMentorsVE Program Managers on methodology, DFM/DFA, and life-cycle costingimprovements\nSupport partner and supplier-driven cost reductioninitiatives in partnership with our own strategic sourcingand cost reduction activities\nEducation and Experience Required:\nFirst level university degree or equivalent experience; may have advanced university degree.\nExtensive experience with ODM/EMS engagement models\n10+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in value engineering, cost reductionwithin a manufacturing environment\n8+ years of people management experience\nTechnical background in networking product design and development \nStrong knowledge of Value Engineering methodologyand shouldbe-cost modeling\nStrong background of ODM/CMmanufacturing processesfor Networking/Telco hardware products\nExcellent facilitation, analytical, and cross-functional presentation skills\nPMP certificationor higher certification\nExcellent communication and presentation skills\nKnowledge and Skills:\nExcellent understanding of supply chain and procurement processes and strategy.\nStrong understanding of market place and industry supply base and standards.\nStrong leadership skills.\nExcellent analytical and data modelling skills.\nExcellent project management skills.\nStrong people management skills, including managing teams across geographies.\nExcellent communication skills; mastery in English and local language.\nStrong business acumen and understanding of risk mitigation approaches and contract language usage.\nStrong understanding of the company's policies and processes.\nStrong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
