Open up opportunities with HPE.\nJob Description:\nJob Description:\nWork consists of designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting and debugging systems, software and solutions for research and/or research development of product, services, and solutions for HPE’s portfolio. Requires a broad knowledge and application of engineering disciplines, methodologies and tools, focused on networking. Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.\nResponsibilities:\nTriage and Resolve Customer Support Escalations from multiple inbound channels. \nMeet or exceed customer expectations on response quality, timeliness of responses and overall customer experience. \nBuild and maintain layer 2/3 network testbeds. \nUnderstand features and reproduce customer issues. \nFile tickets on bugs found. Analyze logs and pinpoint root causes. \nWork with developers and drive solutions. \nParticipate in relevant meetings and discussions and provide status reports. \nAbility to analyze logs, isolate faults across multiple network layers, reproduce issues, and communicate evidence-based root-cause findings. \nProvides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.\nEducation and Experience Required:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, focus in Networking preferred.\nTypically 2-4 years experience.\nRelevant certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CWNA/CWSP/CWDP/CWNE, CCNP Enterprise/Wireless, Aruba Certified, Ekahau, or equivalent)\nKnowledge and Skills:\nKnowledge in 802.11 Wi-Fi standards, 802.11 Wireless Standards, Routing and Wireshark.\nStrong foundational knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, VLANs, Layer 2 switching, and Layer 3 routing. \nInvestigate issues of core network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP) DHCP, DNS, ARP, ICMP, TCP/UDP, MTU, and end-to-end connectivity. \nAnalyze packet captures, device logs, event traces, and diagnostic outputs to identify failure points and determine root causes. \nStrong knowledge of wireless security, network segmentation, authentication (802.1X, RADIUS), and integration with broader enterprise networking (switching, routing, firewalls).\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in the languages required for the role. \nAbility to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.\nAccessibility\nHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
