Responsibilities\nDesigns engineering solutions, including methods, operation sequences, and processes for the manufacturing of parts, component sub- assemblies, and final assemblies, based on established engineering principles and general specifications and requirements.\nDevelops and implements cost estimates, capacity models, time standards, production area layouts, and recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new product introductions.\nDevelops operating procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance plans for large scale manufacturing equipment.\nAssists with issue diagnosis and problem-solving, while aiming for continuous improvement.\nCollaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners regarding process and standards compliance, recording and reporting issues, and recommendations for problem resolution for manufacture of existing products.\nWorks as part of the project team of other manufacturing engineers and internal and outsourced manufacturing partners to develop and execute reliable, cost effective and high quality manufacturing solutions for moderately-complex products from new- product introduction through end of lifecycle.\nRepresents the manufacturing engineering team for all phases of larger and more- complex development and manufacturing projects.\nSolves difficult and complex problems with fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.\nDelivers professionally written reports, and supports realization of operational and strategic plans.\nProvides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of manufacturing engineering design and development innovation and excellence. Education & Experience Recommended\nFour-year or Graduate Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.\nTypically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
