Become a part of the “strength within.”\nHexcel is currently seeking an Assembler for their Kent, WA location.\nSalary Range $20.00 - $32.18\nThe selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:\nMinimum of four (6) months of recent applicable assembly experience or a composites certificate from a Hexcel approved program and High school diploma or GED required. \nPerform assembly of composite materials by hand; Install metallic and nonmetallic details.\nSetup tools, drill and countersink within close tolerances, using workorder instructions.\nUse power and manual tools to perform assembly operations for extended periods of time.\nPerform sealing and secondary bonding operations.\nRead and interpret engineering blueprints, work orders and area work instructions from text, drawings, and computer/internet.\nManage priorities and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment.\nFollow oral and written instructions and write record processes as required.\nProactive, self-motivated, and able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately.\nWear all personal protective equipment as required for this position.\nAdhere to all company safety policies and procedures.\nQualifications:\nMinimum of four (6) months of recent applicable assembly experience or a composites certificate from a Hexcel approved program and High school diploma or GED required.\nApplicants must show a stable work history, preferably in manufacturing and ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.\nMust have basic math skills including fractions and percentages.\nMust be able to work with chemicals, sealants, paints and cleaners on a regular basis.\nKnowledge in setting up tools, drills, grinders rivet guns and/or measurement tools.\nExperience reading, interpreting, and following work instructions, procedures, contracts, drawings, and specifications.\nWear all personal protective equipment as required for this position. \nProduction employees are required to be able to work all shifts.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nThe employee must regularly stand, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Employees are often required to lift large, awkward tools that weigh up to 35 lbs.
