Become a part of the “strength within”.\nHexcel is currently seeking a Core Manufacturing Manager for our Duxford, UK location.\nThe selected individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following obligations:\nLead and maintain a safe manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.\nManage production operations to deliver quality, cost, delivery, and performance targets.\nDevelop and implement annual production plans and support achievement of business objectives.\nLead, develop, and performance manage a team of 50+ employees, including supervisors and technical staff.\nEnsure products are manufactured to customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery schedules.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and other improvement tools.\nManage manufacturing assets, inventory, and resources to maximise efficiency and control costs.\nSupport the introduction of new products, processes, and technology transfers into manufacturing.\nLead quality investigations, resolve non-conformances, and promote a right-first-time culture.\nCollaborate with planning, maintenance, engineering, R&D, and other stakeholders to improve plant performance and support business growth.\nQualifications:\nA degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering or Materials Science.\nExperience working within manufacturing environment at supervisory/management level, with proven communication skills at all levels.\nExperience of working with a diverse range of technologies and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nAble to set priorities and address problems in a timely manner.\nExperience of working to deadlines and working well within a team.\nGood planning and leadership skills.\n9 Phase root cause analysis, Lean six sigma, Process Failure mode effect analysis, Kaizen considered an advantage\nMicrosoft office suite essential and a high level of skill and experience with Excel\nSkilled user of Minitab considered an advantage\nCandidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based.
