Become a part of the “strength within.”\nHexcel is currently seeking an Electrician for our Duxford, UK location.\nThe selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:\nInstall, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems.\nRead and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and wiring diagrams.\nInspect electrical systems to identify faults, hazards, and defects.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical circuits and systems, taking proactive action to resolve issues.\nEnsure electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations.\nTest and commission newly installed electrical systems to verify safety and stability.\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works.\nRespond promptly to emergency breakdowns and restore electrical systems.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used.\nCollaborate with engineering and operational teams to support site safety, maintenance planning, and project activities.\nQualifications:\nCompleted a recognised Electrical or Engineering Apprenticeship. \nNVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (C&G 2357/5357). \nAchievement Measurement 2 (AM2) certification. \nCurrent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification. \nC&G 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification (desirable). \nHNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (desirable). \nCompEx certification (desirable). \nExperience in the operation and maintenance of large industrial electrical plant and equipment. \nKnowledge of industry-standard risk assessment methodologies, including HAZOP and FMEA. \nUnderstanding of industrial process safety and manufacturing operational safety requirements, with the ability to apply relevant procedures and regulatory standards.\nCandidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based.
