Become a part of the “strength within.”\nHexcel is currently seeking an Engineering Projects Manager for our Duxford, UK location.\nThe selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:\nLead and manage the full project life cycle for specialist projects and installations, facilitating technical decisions and identifying all factors involved e.g., strategic, high value and novel projects like but not limited to CMF1 re-energization.\nSupport the proposal process (conception to completion) including planning and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.\nCo-ordination of relevant support and collaboration required from colleagues, and management of project related sub-contractors on site.\nSupporting the Projects, Engineering and Maintenance Manager to ensure tender specifications are within budget.\nEnsure that project implementation is timely, and the quality of the product design (supplied equipment) is fit for purpose, compliant with business and customer requirements and in-line with our project specifications. \nFully assess engineering risks and develop mitigation strategies. Provide consistent and regular updates and reports to the Projects, Engineering and Maintenance Manager \nWork closely with the Projects, Engineering and Maintenance Manager to plan resource and recommend sufficient headcount is available to keep projects on time, and that key stakeholders are involved at the right time every time. \nConsistently promote high standards of conduct and work performance for all company and third-party personnel working on the project to ensure full compliance with company procedures and Statutory Regulations \nIdentify and mitigate risks and successfully deliver important development projects within agreed time, cost, and scope e.g., R&T projects. \nLine manager responsibility for projects team including performance reviews, training requests, and ensuring targets are met. \nQualifications:\nMechanical Engineering qualification/professional status \nExperience in a project engineering/management experience in a multi-national manufacturing organization \nCommercial awareness to ensure projects are working to budget and schedule. \nProduct and industry knowledge of plant equipment, automated systems \nWorking knowledge of commissioning processes, and managing and mitigating risks utilizing specific techniques for engineering projects \nPlanning of resource to ensure key stakeholders are engaged and resource readily available when needed, and management of costs for the engineering work within the allocated budget. \nAble to handle multiple, competing priorities. \nMust be an effective communicator with people at all levels of the business, written and verbal. \nMust be driven, enthusiastic, autonomous, and self-motivated. \nCandidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based.
