Become a part of the “strength within.\"\nHexcel is currently seeking an Sr. Operations Manager for our Kent, WA location. The Sr. Operations Manager will have responsibility for providing leadership to the site in support of the manufacturing of composite aerospace hardware. A successful candidate will achieve success through the collaborative alignment of process engineering, quality, and supply chain with a strong emphasis on safety, customer satisfaction, cost, supporting new product development, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSummary pay range: $118317- $202000 annual salary plus bonus.\nThe selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:\nSafety: Maintaining a safe work environment and operation. Ensure all members of the production team are following safety protocols and procedures. Actively support and improve EHS culture in the factory \nLeadership: Provide hands-on leadership and coaching of a large team that spans both hourly and salary. Demonstrate/model the Hexcel Values and operate in compliance with all Hexcel policies including Hexcel Safety Policy, Quality Policy, and Code of Business Conduct. \nEmployee Training: Inspire, develop, and retain team members to create a strong succession plan and pool of professional talent. \n Operational Excellence: Develop processes to fully meet customer requirements, giving cost, quality, delivery, safety, and employee morale equal consideration. Solves problems using cross-functional teams and utilizing continuous improvement techniques (LEAN and Six Sigma tools). \nCapacity Planning: Analyze capacity and budget for production processes and plan strategic objectives and execute goals to increase throughput, reduce inventories, and reduce operating expenses. \nContinuous Improvement: Scoping, organizing, and conducting Kaizen events and other Lean/5S activities. Overseeing/leading Six Sigma projects and activities using the DMAIC process. \nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree (B.S.) required. Preferably in business or related technical field. Master’s degree preferred but not required. \nMinimum of five years related on-the-job experience in management, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, or other related experience. \nProven ability to improve processes and metrics through continuous improvement. \nStrong oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak to large groups and to provide effective group and individual leadership. \nDemonstrated self-motivation with excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. \nAdditional preferred qualifications include: Lean Six Sigma training and/or certification and Aerospace industry experience including understanding of AS9100, Materials management, logistics, and supply chain experience. \nProficient in the use of ERP/MRP/MES (Microsoft AX and Dassault Systems DELMIA Apriso preferred) and full Microsoft Office Suite of products including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with statistical software also preferred. \nEligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
