If you have integrity, accountability, a willingness to explore new ideas, and a desire to succeed, then ARC Technologies is the place for you.\nBenefits\nIn addition to competitive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance and robust paid time off, we offer the following:\n· Hexcel 401k with company matching contribution\n· Employee stock purchase program\n· Quarterly bonus potential\n· Profit Sharing Program\n· Paid Parental Leave\n· Educational Assistance Program\n· Prepaid group legal plan\nHexcel is currently seeking a Thermoplastics Lead Engineer for our Amesbury, MA location.\nThe selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:\nDesign and prove out of thermoplastic tooling (Extrusion, Injection Molding, etc.)\nOperation and troubleshooting of single/twin screw extruders and injection molders and assist in directing equipment repairs and upgrades\nAssist operators with process improvements\nSpecifying new equipment, develop procedures and troubleshoot equipment as needed\nPerforming lab-scale and pilot-level compounding of new polymer / filler systems\nServe as SME for Thermoplastic Engineering projects and apply engineering principles across facility\nProvided technical direction, coaching and development opportunities for direct/indirect reports\nAct as bridge between the engineering/technical team and various department leaders to ensure streamlined technical integration\nDrive new development opportunities with the support of Operations and Engineering to bring in new business\nParticipate in customer meeting to capture requirements, provide technical insight and support the successful execution of NPI activities\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering (or closely related field) is required\n5+ years of profile extrusion, or twin-screw compounding experience strongly preferred\nProficient in Solid Works and Solid Edge design software\nStrong background in tooling design, mold flow analysis and DFM\nKnowledge of manufacturing scale-up, process optimization and statistical methods (SPC and Six Sigma Concepts)\nAbility to read and interpret drawings and specifications\nExperience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement programs. Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus\nAbility to manage capital projects\nExperience with cost modeling, quoting, manufacturing routes and BOM’s\nMust have the ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance as well as be able to lift 50lbs\nSalary range for this role: $100,000 - $140,000\nThis position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. federal government contracts that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.
