all critical rotating equipment assets within the Pernis plant.\nThe position provides expert technical leadership to Maintenance, Reliability, Operations and Project teams, ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of rotating equipment throughout its lifecycle.\nThe role is responsible for establishing and maintaining technical standards, driving reliability improvements, supporting capital projects, and acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for rotating equipment across the site.\nThis role focusses primarily on rotating equipment however, the role is also expected to provide agencies\nRegulatory authorities\nIndustry specialists and consultants\n\nJob Responsibilities\nTechnical Authority\nAct as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for rotating equipment and provide technical support for static mechanical equipment.\nDevelop, maintain and govern site standards, engineering practices and specifications for mechanical equipment.\nEnsure compliance with company standards, industry best practices and applicable Dutch and European regulations.\nReview and approve technical deviations, repair strategies and equipment modifications.\nProvide technical leadership in Management of Change (MoC) processes.\nSupport maintenance and project teams with complex technical issues and troubleshooting activities.\nReliability & Asset Performance\nLead root cause analyses (RCA) for significant equipment failures and recurring reliability issues.\nIdentify bad actors and develop improvement plans to enhance equipment reliability and availability.\nAnalyze equipment performance data, vibration trends and condition monitoring reports.\nDevelop life-cycle management strategies for critical rotating assets.\nMaintain and update Long Term Asset Plans (LTAP) for assigned equipment.\nContribute to Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), FMEA and asset risk assessment activities.\nSupport equipment integrity programs and define corrective actions based on inspection and condition monitoring findings.\nRotating Equipment Engineering\nProvide technical expertise for:\nCentrifugal and positive displacement pumps\nReciprocating Compressors\nGearboxes\nMechanical seals\nLubrication systems\nAuxiliary rotating equipment\nReview and assess:\nEquipment design and specifications\nFit-for-purpose assessments\nCondition monitoring data\nFailure investigations\nRepair recommendations\nVendor proposals and technical bids\nEquipment criticality assessments\nMaintenance strategies and intervals\nAdditional responsibilities\nStatic Equipment Support\nProvide engineering support for static equipment including:\nPressure vessels\nHeat exchangers\nStorage tanks\nPiping systems\nRelief devices\nResponsibilities include:\nReview inspection findings and support fitness-for-service assessments.\nParticipate in Mechanical Integrity and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs.\nSupport repair scopes, alterations and replacement projects.\nAssist in failure investigations involving static equipment.\nEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulatory requirements.\nProjects and Capital Investments\nDevelop technical specifications for new mechanical equipment with primary focus on rotating assets.\nParticipate in Front-End Engineering Design, detailed design reviews and project execution.\nReview vendor documentation and technical calculations.\nSupport HAZOPs, design reviews and risk assessments.\nParticipate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and commissioning activities.\nEnsure lessons learned are incorporated into future designs and standards.\nMaintenance Strategy & Governance\nDefine maintenance strategies for critical rotating assets and support maintenance strategies for static equipment.\nMaintain and improve maintenance standards, work processes and technical procedures.\nSupport development of maintenance contracts and service agreements.\nEnsure quality and consistency of equipment master data within SAP.\nSupport budget preparation and long-term maintenance planning.\nEvaluate maintenance performance and identify university) Degree.\nExperience\nMinimum 5-10 years of relevant Mechanical Engineering experience in the chemical, petrochemical, refining, energy or industrial sector.\nStrong experience with rotating equipment is required.
