Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nThis is a remote opportunity with candidates located within the EST or CST time zones within the United States.\nEssential Job Duties\nWrite clean, scalable, and maintainable code to build software solutions that enable users to access and manage in-home care services.\nDesign, build, and maintain reliable, high-performance Ruby on Rails services.\nSupport and enhance existing products and applications, balancing new feature development with legacy system modernization.\nOwn end-to-end development of features that directly drive revenue and scale the platform.\nOptimize database queries and API performance to ensure speed, efficiency, and availability.\nContribute to architectural improvements and participate in technical design discussions.\nParticipate in a shared on-call rotation to maintain system health, with strong team support.\nContinuously improve code quality, testing, and deployment practices.\nOther Job Duties\nOther duties as assigned by supervisor or HHAeXchange leader.\nTravel Requirements\nTravel 10-25%, including overnight travel\nRequired Education, Experience, Certifications and Skills\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of experience building production-grade Ruby on Rails applications.\nStrong proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.\nSolid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles.\nProficient in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing maintainable, well-tested code.\nExperience working with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS services (e.g., ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).\nHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field -
