At H&H, you’ll join a firm that is building on its legacy by aligning expertise, expanding opportunity, and positioning itself for long-term, sustainable growth.\nThe successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of public and private sector transportation projects, including municipal intersection improvements, corridor studies, complete streets initiatives, and large-scale infrastructure and mixed-use developments exceeding 3 million square feet. This role requires both technical expertise and leadership capability, with opportunities to manage small design teams and support client development efforts.\nResponsibilities\nPerform operational and capacity analyses and traffic simulations using Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, HCS, and SIDRA\nConduct travel demand modeling and forecasting activities\nLead analysis and design of signalized and unsignalized intersections, roundabouts, highway interchanges, and roadway geometry\nSupport traffic calming, bicycle/pedestrian safety, parking, and multimodal mobility studies\nContribute to inter-modal mobility hub and transit station planning and design\nPerform peer review of traffic impact studies and site plan submissions for municipalities\nApply CEQR methodologies for New York City transportation projects\nConduct transportation data analytics and support advanced planning studies\nSupport micro-mobility studies and emerging transportation technologies (preferred)\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or related field)\n5+ years of relevant transportation engineering experience\nPE certification required\nPTOE/PTP certification a plus\nStrong knowledge of MUTCD standards, ITE Trip Generation, and ITE/ULI Parking Generation procedures\nExperience with professional engineering deliverables and agency/client standards\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to lead tasks and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation\nExperience working with regional transportation agencies and municipalities\nFamiliarity with transportation planning, design, and traffic operations in NY Metro area\nInterest in business development, client engagement, and strategic growth initiatives\nBenefits\nSalary range - $150,000-180,000 annually.
