As a result, Hickory have become one of the most diverse property companies in Australia.POSITION OVERVIEW\nHickory is seeking an experienced Construction Logistics Manager to oversee all logistics operations on a landmark hyperscale data centre project in Tarneit. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the movement of materials, equipment, labour and vehicles across a large and complex construction site. Working closely with the Site Manager, subcontractors, suppliers and the external head contractor, you will ensure site logistics are delivered safely, efficiently and in alignment with the construction programme. From coordinating tower crane bookings and delivery schedules to managing site access, traffic control and temporary infrastructure, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of one of Victoria's largest data centre developments.\nWHAT HICKORY CAN OFFER\nWork-Life Balance: Enjoy a balanced work-life schedule with a standard 5-day work week.\nFamily-Friendly Policies: Receive paid parental leave to support your family needs.\nNovated Leases: Take advantage of novated leasing options to maximize your salary and enjoy tax savings on vehicle expenses.\nH-Perks Employee Rewards: Access exclusive discounts, cashback and everyday savings through our internal benefits platform.\nEmployee Wellbeing: Access our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for valuable support and resources.\nDiverse Opportunities: Gain exposure to a wide range of roles and industry leaders in our leading market company.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop and maintain the project logistics strategy to support the construction programme and site operations.\nPlan and coordinate phased delivery schedules, site access routes and laydown areas.\nReview and adjust logistics plans in response to changing project requirements and site conditions.\nCoordinate just-in-time deliveries to minimise site congestion and maximise efficiency.\nManage off-site staging areas and pre-delivery material checks.\nCoordinate delivery bookings and ensure site teams are prepared for incoming deliveries.\nImplement and manage vehicle movement plans, loading zones and traffic management controls.\nLiaise with local authorities and relevant stakeholders regarding permits and traffic requirements.\nAct as the primary logistics contact for subcontractors, suppliers and external stakeholders.\nReview, approve and coordinate subcontractor delivery requests to avoid scheduling conflicts.\nProvide subcontractors with logistics protocols, site access requirements and delivery procedures.\nMonitor compliance with site logistics requirements and escalate issues where necessary.\nCoordinate logistics requirements for major plant and equipment deliveries, including generators, switchgear and CRAC units.\nSupport the erection, operation and dismantling of seven tower cranes across multiple site locations.\nManage logistics issues relating to site access, delivery delays and material handling constraints.\nCoordinate all delivery activities with the external head contractor to ensure alignment across the project.\nOversee the installation and maintenance of temporary logistics infrastructure, including fencing, signage and loading bays.\nConduct logistics risk assessments and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and project requirements.\nParticipate in safety audits, toolbox talks and incident investigations.\nEnsure all required council permits and approvals are obtained and maintained.\nAttend daily pre-start meetings and relevant site coordination meetings.\nManage delivery scheduling through HammerTech, including forklifts, crane loading bays and hoist bookings.\nMonitor logistics performance through reporting, dashboards and KPI tracking.\nPrepare regular reports highlighting logistics risks, issues and upcoming constraints.\nMaintain accurate records relating to delays, lost time and contractual impacts.\nSupport site emergency response activities and emergency preparedness planning.\nTO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE\nProven experience as a Logistics Manager, Site Logistics Manager or similar role within the commercial construction industry.\nExperience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, infrastructure or data centre projects.\nStrong understanding of construction site logistics, material handling and delivery coordination.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience coordinating tower crane operations, hoists, heavy vehicle movements and site access requirements.\nStrong understanding of traffic management, delivery planning and temporary works coordination.\nSound knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and site compliance requirements.\nExcellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nAbility to work collaboratively with project teams while managing competing priorities.\nIf this sounds like your next opportunity, we would love to hear from you as soon as possible!
