We design, manufacture, and deploy advanced sensor systems that deliver real-time insights for defense and commercial applications.\nPosition Overview:\nAs we expand, we're looking for a Digital Hardware Engineer who will apply their skills and experience to lead the design of custom hardware and firmware for cutting-edge sensor and communication systems.\nLocation: This position is located in the Syracuse, NY office with the potential for hybrid arrangements.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign and implement custom multi-layer circuit cards by performing part selection, schematic design, and aiding in layout activities \nMaintain component libraries and create new parts for schematic capture \nPerform functional test and verification activities for new hardware and aid in production transition and support \nDesign HDL solutions for the latest Xilinx FPGAs and SoC devices \nPerform timing closure and create well constrained, maintainable solutions that are easily extensible and employ an efficient use of resources \nUse scripting languages such as Python and Bash to automate and improve workflows \nWhat We’re Looking For:\nA desire to own project assignments and work creatively and collaboratively on cross-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions that impress our customers and move our industry forward. \nAn open-minded approach to solving challenges, and proactive development of backup plans to ensure the team can hit the mark even when encountering the unexpected. \nA mindset trained on long-term goals and objectives, balanced with making demonstratable incremental steps along the way to meet the pace of our industry. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills to efficiently convey complex ideas, coupled with an ability to listen, question, and understand stakeholder needs. \nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field \n0-5 years related professional experience \nUnderstanding of digital and analog circuits \nExperience with VHDL and/or Verilog to configure FPGAs and other embedded systems \n10% travel \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience testing and validating analog and digital hardware using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc. \nExperience with modern Xilinx FPGAs and the Vivado design environment \nExperience with Communication and Sensor systems, Digital Signal Processing, Software Defined Radios, and RF System Design \nExperience with Matlab, Python, Linux \nCompensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance.
