We design, manufacture, and deploy advanced sensor systems that deliver real-time insights for defense and commercial applications.\nPosition Overview:\nAs we expand, we're looking for a Software Engineering Intern who is interested in solving challenging problems in Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (C-UAS) and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM).\nLocation:\nLearn, innovate, and grow alongside the team! This internship is onsite in Syracuse, NY, offering hands-on R&D experience and opportunities to collaborate closely with experienced engineers.\nResponsibilities:\nContribute to the development of software components across our full stack, leveraging AWS services, Python, Flask, and SQL databases \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and implement features \nImprove on and expand the capabilities of our existing enterprise tools and customer facing-products, ensuring secure seamless communication and data synchronization \nParticipate in collaborative design and code reviews. \nDocument and clearly communicate designs to peers \nTest and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nSelf-motivated and goal-oriented individuals with the capacity to think creatively to overcome technical challenges\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environment\nRequired Qualifications:\nEnrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program pursuing Computer Science or Software Engineering, or a Bachelor’s Degree program in Computer or Electrical Engineering with a strong programming background\nCompleted Sophomore year or greater by Summer 2027\nA minimum grade point average of 3.4. Recent transcript is required with application (unofficial transcripts are acceptable)\nProficiency with Python\nExperience using and developing on Linux platforms\nUnderstanding of SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and database design principles\nFamiliarity with protocols like ZeroMQ, SSH, HTTP and TLS\nUnderstanding of software architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambdas \nProficiency with or willingness to learn C++\nExperience with or a desire to learn about distributed sensor networks\nHourly Rate Range: The hourly rate range for this position is estimated at $23 to $26 per hour.
