The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the recording of transactions in our general ledger, reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts and supporting financial schedules, assist with the preparation of financial statements, payments of accounts payable, collections of accounts receivable, payroll related matters, improving policies, procedures and day to day accounting processes, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and providing support for other ongoing tasks and special projects. The Financial Accountant will report to the Controller and will work directly with other members of the accounting staff and provide services to other departments.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPrepare journal entries, supporting schedules, account reconciliations and analytics.\nAssist in preparing financial statements and distribution letters to members .\nProcess and monitor travel and entertainment and other purchase order expense transactions.\nEnsure the timely and accurate application of cash receipts and disbursements.\nAssist with tax filings and maintenance of tax schedules in conjunction with our tax advisors.\nProcess and review payroll through the use of Bamboo HR payroll services and in partnership with HR.\nOrganize and maintain customer and vendor contracts and lease agreements and schedules.\nMatch vendor invoices to their related contracts to ensure amounts charged match agreed-upon terms.\nAssist in maintaining the fixed asset ledger, deferred revenue, and capitalized cost schedules.\nProvide periodic cash flow, expense, and other ad hoc analysis.\nIdentify financial statement risks, develop and/or enhance mitigating key controls.\nUpdate accounting process documentation; assist in evaluating, developing and implementing an enhanced streamlined/automated approach.\nAssist with the research and documentation of accounting policies\nREQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS\nStrong analytical and communication skills.\nHighly detail oriented and organized.\nAbility to work collaboratively and maintain appropriate relationships with members of staff, customers, vendors and other external parties such as auditors and advisors.\nEager to learn and implement new processes and systems.\nAbility to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions to problems.\nCapable of balancing team and individual responsibilities in a growing, dynamic environment, with competing priorities.\nHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.\nKnowledge of AI, Netsuite, Concur T&E, and Convergent a plus.\nBachelor’s Degree in Accounting.\nA minimum of 3-5 years public accounting or corporate accounting/finance experience.\nCertified Public Accountant or CPA exam parts passed a plus.\nAbout High 5 Games:\nJoin the leader of the fastest-growing segment of online entertainment - Casino Gaming.
