Clerk\n\nLocation: Ikorodu, Lagos\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nJob Summary\n\nThe ideal candidate should have experience in a shipping, container terminal, port or transport environment and be comfortable working with operational records and multiple stakeholders.\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented Terminal Clerk to support daily terminal operations through accurate documentation, data entry and coordination of container and truck movements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupport the processing of containers entering and leaving the terminal.\nCoordinate with terminal operations, drivers and other relevant personnel to ensure smooth movement of containers.\nVerify container details, movement information and relevant documentation.\nPrepare daily operational reports and movement records.\nMaintain proper filing and retrieval of operational documents.\nCapture truck arrival, loading, unloading and departure information.\nProvide administrative support to the terminal operations team.\nPrepare and maintain accurate terminal, container and operational records.\nMonitor and report discrepancies in container or truck information.\nEscalate documentation, movement or operational issues to the appropriate supervisor.\nRecord and update information relating to container and truck movements.\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nMinimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a shipping, terminal, port, transport or logistics environment.\nDegree or HND in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, Business Administration or a related field.\nPrevious experience handling container movement records, terminal documentation or truck operations will be an advantage.\nMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced terminal environment.\n\nSkills:\n\nGood knowledge of terminal and container operations\nComputer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel\nStrong organisational and record-keeping skills\nGood communication and coordination skills\nAbility to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines\nBasic understanding of shipping and logistics processes\nGood attention to detail and accuracy\nStrong data entry
