This role provides authoritative guidance on complex accounting issues, leads the preparation of technical accounting memos, and supports financial reporting, audit readiness, and policy development. This role requires a hands-on leader with experience in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment, preferably within consulting, professional services, or staffing.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to build scalable processes, lead high-performing global teams, and partner cross-functionally to support growth.\nYour Impact\nFinancial Reporting & Compliance\nOversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS which would include preparation of Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flows and Stockholders Equity\nEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting monthly across multiple global entities\nEnsure timely and accurate quarterly bank compliance reporting\nManage audits and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions\nMaintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies\nDevelop and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with evolving standards and business needs\nGlobal Accounting Operations\nLead day-to-day accounting functions including revenue recognition, lease accounting and fixed asset accounting\nOversee consolidation of international subsidiaries, including foreign currency considerations\nEnsure proper accounting for complex staffing revenue streams (e.g., time & materials, fixed price, direct hire) and intercompany transactions both across geographies and revenue streams\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Tax, FP&A) to assess accounting implications of business initiatives.\nPrivate Equity Reporting & Support\nPartner with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders on financial reporting and performance metrics\nSupport board reporting, lender compliance, and covenant reporting\nAssist with M&A activities including due diligence, integration, divestiture and corresponding accounting treatment\nProcess Improvement & Systems\nOwn the quality and integrity of supporting schedules and workpapers, ensuring they are accurate, well-controlled, and presented at a level suitable for external audit and executive review.\nBuild and scale accounting processes to support cleanup of end-to-end accounting treatment from rapid growth and global expansion\nEvaluate and implement automation tools and reporting enhancements\nDrive continuous improvement in close cycles and reporting accuracy mainly through the introduction of AI tools and time-saving initiatives\nTeam Leadership\nExhibit a proactive communication style\nLead, mentor, and develop a global accounting team\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement\nServe as a visible, positive leader who helps energize the team, reinforce a culture of trust and respect, and re-establish momentum within the office.\nAt a minimum, you will have: \nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required)\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate complex accounting matters to non-technical stakeholders.\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles and international leadership experience\nExperience in a private equity-backed company strongly preferred\nBackground in consulting, staffing, or professional services industries highly desirable\nStrong knowledge of GAAP (IFRS experience a plus)\nStrong technical experience including revenue recognition, intercompany and corresponding eliminations, stock compensation/equity, transfer pricing,\nExperience with global consolidations and multi-entity environments\nProven ability to manage audits and interact with external stakeholders\nAdvanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, preferred)\nStrong reporting capabilities on a reported and proforma basis (experience with Workday Adaptive a plus)\nKey Competencies\nStrategic thinker with strong analytical skills\nDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines\nAbility to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment\nStrong leadership and team development capabilities\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to play a key role in a growing, private equity-backed organization\nHigh visibility with executive leadership and investors\nCompetitive compensation, bonus, and benefits package\nDynamic and entrepreneurial work environment\nDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
