Highspring operates from more than 50 offices across the United States and continues to expand its global delivery capabilities through onshore, nearshore, and offshore models.\nThe Senior Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining financial integrity and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.\nYour Impact:\nManage the accounting cycle for assigned technical accounting areas including but not limited to leases, rent shares, sublease income, fixed assets, computer inventory, goodwill, stock compensation, international accounting, etc.\nConduct detailed financial and variation analysis and provide recommendations to optimize cost control\nResearch and apply GAAP to complex, non-routine transactions; draft accounting policies, and prepare technical memos for auditors\nPrepare, review and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the financial statements, quarterly reporting and all external reporting, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)\nMaintain the financial reporting tool, Adaptive and explore opportunities for optimization\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient financial processes and internal controls, driving continuous improvement and mitigating risks\nAssist the FP&A team with data requests related to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts,\nAssist in the preparation of the quarterly cash flow statements, lender reporting and identifying areas of improvement\nPerform complex account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or variances in a timely manner\nSupport the audit and tax filing processes by providing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors and the tax team to address any inquiries or findings\nStay updated on industry trends, accounting principles, and regulatory changes, implementing best practices to optimize financial processes\nEducation and Experience: \nBachelors Degree in accounting\n3 - 5 years accounting experience required\nExperience working with NetSuite is desired\nExperience with Adaptive, Solution 7 and/or Office Connect is a plus\nExpert-level knowledge of GAAP\nExperience with automating processes and leveraging AI is a plus\nAdvanced Microsoft Office Excel skills\nAbility to work in a team environment and prioritize as needed\nGood analytical and trouble shooting skills, attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines\nAbility to maintain confidentiality of data\nSupervisory experience is required\nPublic Accounting experience is a plus\nTravel Requirements: \nLess than 5%\nDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
