You own making it run: keeping partners on schedule, turning compliance requirements into product and process, and making sure each new product has its risk, support, and reporting operations in place on day one. The bar is partner programs that ship when we say they will and stay in good standing, without leadership getting pulled into day-to-day partner and compliance work.\nThis role is based in our NoHo, NYC office or Toronto office.\nWhat you'll do\nOwn day-to-day relationships with our bank, card, and payments partners: timelines, open questions, redlines, and escalations. You and the PM run new partnerships together\n\nHold partners accountable to their timelines, and escalate internally when something is stuck\n\nReview new partner programs and agreements for compliance: what they require, how that maps to our existing policies, and what has to change (reporting obligations, covenants, KYB/KYC requirements)\n\nWork with our compliance officer and outside specialists to turn policies into product and process, then drive the resulting changes with product and engineering\n\nGet new products ready to operate before launch: risk processes, support operations, partner reporting, and runbooks\n\nWork across all of our PMs and partners, since one partner often supports several products and one product often depends on several partners\n\nCoordinate audit and certification work (SOC2, PCI, BSA/AML) with external auditors and contractors\n\nLead incident response with partners when money movement breaks\n\nWork with the leadership and provide them with clear, trusted status on every partner program\n\nExample projects\nKYB/KYC and compliance requirements as we expand into global banking\n\nPay-by-card: BPSP registration and card network processes, Amex acceptance, and international payments\n\nOperational setup for our treasury and money market products\n\nBringing wire callbacks in-house and standing up the support team to handle them\n\nCompliance, reporting, and covenant management with our capital partners\n\nLaunching a metal card with a card manufacturer\n\nNet impact\nPartner programs ship on the dates we commit to\n\nPMs spend their time building product, not chasing partners\n\nLeadership is no longer pulled into partner and compliance coordination\n\nEvery product launches with risk, support, and reporting operations in place\n\nHighbeam adds partners and products without adding compliance risk\n\nQualifications\n4+ years in product operations, partner or program management, or fintech operations at a fintech, BaaS provider, bank, or payments company\n\nHands-on experience with sponsor banks, card networks, or payments vendors: onboarding, diligence, program requirements, and ongoing oversight\n\nWorking knowledge of KYB/KYC, BSA/AML, card network rules, SOC2, and PCI; you can read a program agreement or policy and explain what it means for the product\n\nFamiliar with the fintech stack (flow of funds, payment rails, card issuing and acceptance) to lead partner calls and brief PMs and engineers afterward\n\nRelentless follow-through across many workstreams at once\n\nStrong written communication\n\nComfortable with AI tools to speed up coordination and documentation\n\nBonus: experience standing up support or risk operations for a new financial product\n\nBonus: technical background\n\nYou'll thrive at Highbeam if...\nYou love working in-person with a high-performing team\n\nYou enjoy working in an idea-meritocratic, low-ego environment\n\nYou are proactive and self-directed, and you excel in ambiguous, fast moving environments\n\nYou care about delivering a polished customer experience\n\nBonus: You have experience working in fintech, AI or early-stage startups\n\nWhat we offer\nCompetitive salary and meaningful equity\n\nComprehensive health & benefits package\n\nGenerous PTO\n\n$1K/year stipend to purchase our customers' products\n\n$100/mo wellness stipend\n\nYearly offsite-last year we went to Mexico City!\n\nIn-office perks: Commute covered and $20/day lunch stipend\n\nGreat location: Our NYC office is in NoHo, a short walk from the A,C,E · B,D,F,M · N,Q,R,W · 1 · 6 trains.
