The successful candidate will oversee recruitment, employee development and the broader HR function while providing practical guidance to management and supporting effective employee and labour relations across the organization.\nYOUR ROLE AS HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER\nHuman Resources Leadership and Operations\nProvide strategic and operational leadership for the human resources function, aligning departmental priorities with organizational objectives.\nAdvise the Executive Team and management on workforce planning, organizational development and complex HR matters.\nLead the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, programs and procedures.\nOversee employee records, departmental resources and the annual HR budget, ensuring appropriate confidentiality and legislative compliance.\nCompensation and Benefits\nDevelop, administer and evaluate compensation structures, job classifications and employee benefits programs, maintaining internal equity and market competitiveness.\nPartner with Finance to ensure employee compensation, benefits and payroll-related changes are accurately communicated and administered in accordance with employment standards and collective agreement provisions\nRecruitment, Development and Employee Support\nLead full-cycle recruitment and selection, including candidate assessment and onboarding.\nOversee employee training, leadership development, recognition and wellness initiatives.\nAdvise management on employee relations, performance concerns and workplace conflict resolution.\nMonitor employee engagement, turnover and absenteeism, addressing emerging workforce concerns.\nHealth, Safety and Disability Management\nOversee workplace health and safety programs, policies and practices in accordance with applicable legislation.\nManage disability claims, workplace accommodations and safe return-to-work programs.\nWork with management to identify and address workplace health and safety concerns.\nLabour Relations\nLead labour relations activities and maintain effective working relationships with union representatives.\nInterpret and administer collective agreements, providing guidance to management on contractual obligations and labour relations matters.\nPartner with the Executive Team on collective bargaining negotiations and agreement renewals.\nManage grievances, workplace disputes and labour relations issues with consistency and sound judgment.\nRequirements\nYOUR EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE\nEducation and Certifications\nPost-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.\nCHRL or CPHR designation in good standing with the applicable professional association.\nSkills and Experience\n7 or more years of progressive human resources experience, including at least 3 years in an HR management or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.\nComprehensive experience managing the full scope of human resources, including strategic planning and hands-on operational delivery.\nExtensive experience in a unionized environment, including collective agreement administration, grievance management and collective bargaining.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing operations and workforce requirements, including recruitment and retention of skilled trades and production employees.\nProven experience developing and implementing HR policies, compensation programs and organizational workforce plans.\nExperience implementing HRIS platforms and supporting system improvements, with ADP experience preferred.\nIn-depth knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, human rights obligations and occupational health and safety requirements.\nExperience managing departmental budgets, compensation structures and employee benefits programs.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nLeadership Profile\nYou lead with confidence and accountability.
