In this high-impact role, you will own the engineering vision for how third-party developers, partners, and native integrations interact with our platform. You will oversee multiple squads responsible for our Public APIs, Monetization infrastructure, and the App Marketplace.\n\nYour focus will be on building a world-class developer experience, ensuring API scalability, and driving revenue through robust monetization channels, all while mentoring engineering leaders and fostering a high-performance culture.\n\nResponsibilities:\nPeople Leadership and Team Development:\nMentor and coach Engineering Managers, Staff Engineers, and Tech Leads, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership\n\nLead performance evaluations and create clear career distinct paths for engineers within the Marketplace organisation\n\nBuild a resilient team capable of managing high-traffic public APIs and complex financial transactions with zero margin for error\n\nExecution & Strategic Delivery:\nTranslate complex business requirements into scalable technical roadmaps for the Marketplace ecosystem\n\nDrive process improvements to manage the lifecycle of hundreds of integrations and thousands of developer apps\n\nEnsure teams are set up for agile delivery while maintaining strict security and governance standards required for open platforms\n\nProduct and Technology Oversight:\nOversee the architecture of our Public API (v1/v2), ensuring backward compatibility, versioning strategies, and high availability\n\nCollaborate with Product Managers to design the \"Plumbing\" of our economy—from payout automations to usage-based billing systems.\n\nMaintain high engineering quality across the SDKs, Sandbox environments, and Native Integrations\n\nBusiness Alignment and Vision:\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define the strategy for the App Marketplace and Partner Program\n\nDesign extensible architectures that allow our platform to integrate seamlessly with major players (Google, Meta, Slack) and custom solutions\n\nRequirements:\nExtensive hands-on experience with Node.js and Vue.js (or React/Angular)\n\nSaaS Experience: Majority of experience in a high-growth SaaS company is a huge plus\n\nEcosystem Experience: Proven track record of building/managing Public APIs, Developer Platforms, or App Marketplaces\n\nLeadership: 12+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in leadership or management roles managing other managers or multiple teams\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field\n\nStrong capability in architectural decision-making regarding API versioning, backward compatibility, and system security\n\nEEO Statement:\nThe company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
