These products form a critical part of HighLevel's Agency ecosystem, enabling agencies to seamlessly create and manage their accounts, onboard onto the platform, manage subscriptions and billing, and scale their businesses.\n\nToday, 100K+ agencies use HighLevel, collectively serving 2M+ businesses of all sizes, primarily SMBs. The systems we build support critical parts of the agency lifecycle and directly contribute to agency growth by making onboarding, account management, and billing experiences reliable and seamless.\n\nThe team builds and scales key capabilities across Agency Signup and Company Management, Platform Billing, and Agency Onboarding. Our onboarding experiences help new agencies get started with HighLevel, configure their accounts, discover and adopt key platform capabilities, and move from signup to successfully using the platform. Together, these systems provide the foundation for agencies to onboard, operate, and grow their businesses on HighLevel.\n\nAs an SDE-2, you'll work across the frontend and backend, building and delivering features across these systems. You'll work on scalable APIs and services, data-driven workflows, integrations, and modern frontend experiences while developing a strong understanding of the products and systems you work on.\n\nYou'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to take features from requirements through implementation and production, contribute to technical discussions, and continuously improve the quality and reliability of the systems you work on.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nBuild and deliver features across the Agency Module, Agency Onboarding, and Platform Billing, contributing across both backend and frontend systems. \nDesign and build scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations, working across internal microservices and third-party platforms such as Stripe, with a focus on reliability, security, and performance. \nBuild performant and scalable frontend experiences for agency management, onboarding, and billing workflows using modern frontend frameworks and component-driven architecture with strong state management practices. \nOwn features end-to-end, from understanding requirements and technical planning through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support. \nLeverage AI-first coding practices and AI tools (such as LLMs, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) to write, refactor, test, and debug code efficiently, while maintaining strict guardrails for reliability and security. \nDesign data models and build efficient queries across data stores such as MongoDB, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch. \nParticipate across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirement analysis and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and production support. \nWrite clean, efficient, secure, and testable code with appropriate unit and integration test coverage. \nUse logs, metrics, monitoring, and tracing to troubleshoot production issues and contribute to improving system reliability. \nParticipate in code reviews, technical discussions, incident resolution, and operational support, including on-call responsibilities where applicable. \nFollow engineering best practices around security, scalability, maintainability, testing, documentation, and production readiness. \n\nRequirements\n\n2+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production-grade full-stack applications. \nStrong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development, including APIs and service integrations; NestJS experience is preferred. \nStrong frontend development experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular, with Vue.js preferred, and a good understanding of component-based development and state management. \nExperience building and consuming REST APIs and working with microservices and service-to-service integrations. \nHands-on experience with MongoDB or similar databases, including data modeling, querying, and performance considerations. \nExperience with asynchronous and event-driven application patterns, using technologies such as GCP Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar. \nAbility to debug and troubleshoot production issues across frontend, backend, databases, and integrations using logs and monitoring tools. \nGood understanding of software engineering practices including automated testing, code reviews, Git, CI/CD, and production deployment. \nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to use them effectively as part of day-to-day engineering workflows. \nStrong problem-solving, ownership, and collaboration skills, with the ability to independently take a feature from requirement understanding through implementation and production. \n\nPreferred Experience\n\nExperience with AI tools and contributions to open-source projects, internal platforms, or engineering blogs. \nExperience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) and building full-stack web applications. \nFamiliarity with cloud-native development, specifically within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem. \n\nEEO Statement:\n\nThe company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
