in\nManage pacing and flow: quotes, turns, seating, sections, and all the little levers that create a great night\nStay guest-facing: read the room, anticipate needs, and handle issues quickly and graciously\nEnsure service standards: steps of service, check timing, table touches, hospitality moments\nSupport & Lead the Team\nCoach servers, hosts, food runners, and bartenders in real time-kindly and clearly\nKeep morale up and drama down (you’re calm, consistent, and fair)\nHelp train new team members and reinforce service fundamentals\nAct as the point person for shift decisions, conflict resolution, and quick adjustments\nBe the Bridge Between FOH + BOH\nCommunicate cleanly with the kitchen: pacing, 86s, allergy needs, and special situations\nSupport expo / pass as needed during peak service\nKeep the whole operation moving as one team-no silos, no surprises\nOwn the Guest Experience\nHandle guest recoveries and “make it right” moments with confidence\nBuild regulars through genuine connection\nMake sure every guest leaves feeling taken care of (and excited to come back)\nKeep the Room Sharp\nMaintain a clean, organized, and stocked dining room throughout service\nEnsure stations are set, side work gets done, and closing is strong\nEnforce safety, sanitation, and compliance standards\nWhat Success Looks Like\nService feels smooth, even when it’s slammed\nGuests feel seen, cared for, and impressed\nStaff feels supported, guided, and proud of the shift\nCommunication stays clear, calm, and solutions-focused\nThe restaurant hits its standards: timing, cleanliness, hospitality, and consistency\nWhat We’re Looking For\n2+ years managing or leading FOH in a high-volume or quality-driven restaurant\nStrong instincts with pacing, guest recovery, and team leadership\nConfident communicator who can be direct without being harsh\nOrganized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure\nA true hospitality person: you enjoy people, you notice everything, and you take pride in the work\nFlexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed\nBonus points if you have:\nExperience with reservation/waitlist systems (Resy, Toast
