This role involves active participation in project management, vendor relations, and the continuous improvement of imaging workflows and technologies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the clinical environment, ensuring seamless image viewing, interpretation, and data exchange.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\n1. Image Management & System Optimization\nEnsures an optimal environment for the viewing and interpretation of medical images.\nMonitors and manages interfaces to key systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and Voice Recognition systems.\nVerifies data integrity and optimizes image and workflow processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.\nParticipates in and provides recommendations for the development of policies related to image management, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and familiarity with medical imaging standards (e.g., DICOM, HL7).\nAssesses imaging modality capabilities across all Diagnostic Imaging on an ongoing basis to support technological advancements and clinical needs.\n2. Project Management & Development Support\nWorks collaboratively with customers, application developers, architects, project management, and team members to understand business requirements, driving the analysis and design of high-quality business solutions.\nActively participates in the full system development lifecycle and is responsible for creating and maintaining project lifecycle documents/deliverables (e.g., vision document, supplemental specifications, user design, testing plan, testing schedule, testing scenarios, testing outcomes, approvals, and training materials).\nManages job and project requirements to ensure projects are completed on time, in scope, within budget, and with minimal defects.\nUses common project tools for planning, monitoring, implementing, and following up on project steps through closure and beyond.\nAssists with budget development and cost scheduling, utilizing planned resources effectively.\n3. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement\nClearly communicates to stakeholders any downtime, upgrades, changes to workflow, and/or methods, working closely with departmental management staff to ensure minimal disruption to operations.\nUnderstands roles and relationships within the healthcare system and is proficient in speaking and interpreting medical terminology with healthcare professionals.\nInterfaces with business areas, customers, partners, vendors, technical staff, and project teams to drive value, enhance return on investment, and create innovative solutions. This includes providing alternative solutions, including vendor solution acquisitions, with maximum benefits while reducing costs (e.g., cost-benefit analysis, pros/cons of solutions).\n4. Information Technology & Technical Support \nAssists with vendor management for all applicable imaging applications and systems.\nReceptive to learning new skills to expand effectiveness, including but not limited to transmission protocols, network configuration, server management, DICOM, and HL7.\nImplements and maintains hardware/software, including planned upgrades and updates.\nAble to retrieve data for key performance indicators or audits as requested.\nProvides required business and/or technical support for both project and production-related activities.\n5. Quality Assurance & Compliance\nAssures compliance with required standards and that all necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the project lifecycle.\nIs accountable for the comprehensive testing of solutions (e.g., testing plan, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) defects are realized.\nInterfaces closely with business and technical staff during all phases of the project, including unit and system testing, integration and UAT testing, culminating with implementation checkout and post-implementation support.\nMay help to maintain documentation such as design documents, architecture, and flow diagrams.\nOther Duties: Performs other duties as assigned or required.
