They are strong writers, strategic media thinkers, and quick learners who excel at crafting communications that inform, influence, and inspire.\nKey Responsibilities\nClient Service & Program Support\nSupport day-to-day execution of cybersecurity PR programs, including media relations, analyst engagement, speaking, and content.\nParticipate in weekly client calls and help prepare agendas, updates, and coverage reports.\nKeep projects organized and on schedule by managing timelines, deliverables, and internal communications.\nConduct research on emerging threats, competitors, and regulations to inform storytelling and thought leadership.\nContribute ideas for quarterly campaign planning and proactive media opportunities.\nMedia & Influencer Relations\nSupport media outreach efforts by researching reporters, building lists, and developing targeted pitches.\nDraft and distribute compelling story ideas that drive meaningful coverage in business, tech, and cybersecurity outlets.\nMonitor media trends, security news, and journalist activity to identify timely opportunities for clients.\nAssist in managing social and digital amplification strategies to extend earned media visibility.\nTrack and report on media results to demonstrate the impact of PR efforts.\nWriting & Content Development\nDraft and edit a variety of materials, such as:\nPress releases, media pitches, and client commentary\nAward submissions, speaking abstracts, and blog post\nBackgrounders, briefing documents, and talking points\nHelp translate technical cybersecurity topics into clear, engaging language for both media and business audiences.\nEnsure writing reflects accuracy, tone, and alignment with client messaging.\nInsights, Analytics & Integration\nTrack and analyze media coverage and campaign results, sharing insights with clients and teams.\nCollaborate with teammates across digital, content, and design to support integrated PR initiatives.\nLearn and apply analytics and AI tools that enhance research, precision, and efficiency.\nCollaboration & Growth\nWork closely with senior team members to support program execution and strengthen your cybersecurity knowledge.\nTake initiative on projects, communicate clearly, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nContribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture.\nSuccess Factors\n2-3 years of PR or communications experience in an agency setting\nExperience working with clients in the cybersecurity industry\nStrong writing and editing skills across multiple formats\nA developing network of media contacts or interest in building relationships in the cybersecurity space\nAbility to translate complex, technical concepts into relatable stories\nStrong organization and time management skills\nFamiliarity with analytics or media tracking tools (a plus)\nA curious, proactive, and collaborative mindset\nThe salary range for this position is $54,000 to $72,000, with the final offer based on a combination of factors, including education, relevant experience, skills, prior training, internal equity, and local geographic market data.
