One customer 2x'd their revenue within 8 weeks of deploying Hobbes. Another closed a deal within 2-hours of Hobbes going live on their site.\nDemos are where we start. Our vision is the future of autonomous sales and self-improving products, with agent-to-agent sales, world models, and self-improving product feedback loops all in the works.\nAbout the Role\nWe're hiring our first in-house Founding BDR.\nThe job is straightforward: pick up the phone, talk to prospects, and create qualified opportunities.\nYou won't spend your day building lists, researching accounts, writing cold emails, or managing sequences. As an AI-native company, we have systems and agents doing that work for you.\nWe want you incredibly productive at the part of outbound that still benefits most from a great human: having a conversation.\nYou'll work directly with our Founding GTM Lead and have a front-row seat to how we build the sales organization at Hobbes.\nThis is a high-activity role. We'll give you a power dialer, great accounts to call, context on why you're calling them, and messaging to start with. Your job is to turn that into conversations and pipeline.\nWhat You'll Do\nCold call prospects\n\nStart conversations with executives and GTM leaders at B2B software companies\n\nTurn cold calls into curiosity, meetings, and qualified sales opportunities\n\nOwn outbound prospects until they show up for their first sales conversation\n\nLearn our buyers, their problems, and the Hobbes story incredibly well\n\nTest different talk tracks, objections, hooks, and positioning\n\nGive fast feedback on what's working and what isn't\n\nWork directly with our Founding GTM Lead on new campaigns, target segments, and flagship accounts. If there's a campaign you're excited about, we'll use agents to build it out.\n\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit\nYou enjoy cold calling. You're relentless, and rejection does not bother you.\n\nYou're great live. You think on your feet. You listen. You don't sound robotic. You can create curiosity without reading a script word-for-word.\n\nYou're competitive. You like having a number to hit and knowing exactly how you're performing.\n\nYou're coachable. We'll listen to calls together. We'll change messaging. We'll test new approaches constantly. You want feedback because you want to get better.\n\nYou're comfortable with an early-stage company. The playbook isn't finished. You're joining us to help build it.\n\nYou're AI-native. You want agents and software doing as much administrative work as possible so you can spend more time selling.\n\nYou're an early riser. We start calling around 7:30 a.m. Pacific so we can reach East Coast accounts during their morning.\n\nPrevious SDR / BDR experience is a plus, but it isn't the thing we're optimizing for.
