This is a high-impact role for someone who wants ownership, visibility with leadership, and the chance to help shape the financial backbone of a mission-driven company.\nThe Role\nWe are looking for an Assistant Controller / Finance Manager to serve as the right hand to our finance lead and own day-to-day accounting operations. You will manage the close process, strengthen our controls and reporting, and partner across the business on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This is a hands-on role with significant room to grow as the\ncompany and finance team expand.\nWhat You'll Do\nAssist in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals, ensuring accurate and timely results.\n\nPrepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and support management reporting packages for leadership and investors.\n\nManage core accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and general ledger integrity.\n\nBuild, document, and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and scalable processes that support a growing business.\n\nSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, partnering with department leaders to track spend and inform decisions.\n\nCoordinate the annual audit and tax filings, serving as a key point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.\n\nOversee cash management, including reconciliations, treasury reporting, and cash-flow forecasting.\n\nHelp select, implement, and optimize accounting and finance systems as we scale.\n\nEnsure compliance with applicable regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements across jurisdictions.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n4-6 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally combining public accounting and in-house/industry experience.\n\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA (or active candidacy) strongly preferred.\n\nStrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the full-cycle close process.\n\nExperience owning or heavily contributing to month-end close, financial reporting, and\n\nreconciliations.\nAdvanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).\n\nHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally with non-finance stakeholders.\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and rolling up your sleeves.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience at a startup, health-tech, manufacturing, or D2C/e-commerce company.\n\nExposure to inventory or cost accounting in a physical-product business.\n\nExperience implementing or upgrading ERP and finance systems.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year, plus equity.\nFinal compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
