The Accountant provides administrative and clerical support by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, monitoring expenses, and keeping a record of it all for tax purposes.\n2.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:\nReceive, verify, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and internal controls. \nEnsure proper matching of purchase orders, goods receipts and invoices (3-way match). \nEnsure cost allocation, accounting, and tax are updated as per the relevant guidelines/ laws. \nResolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments (e.g., procurement, warehouses, receiving departments). \nReconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate Accounts payable aging reports. \nSupport month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals. \nAssist in internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations. \nReviews accounting policies and procedures and, as needed, recommends process improvements (including automation and operational efficiencies). \nAssist in completing ad hoc requests and special projects as they arise. \n3.
