Leadership and Team Management : \n\n- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.\n\n- Establish clear goals, engineering priorities, and delivery expectations aligned with business objectives.\n\n- Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and support career development and technical growth.\n\n- Build a high-performing engineering team through effective hiring, onboarding, coaching, and retention practices.\n\n- Promote engineering best practices, accountability, and a strong quality mindset.\n\nTechnical Strategy and Architecture : \n\n- Drive the design and development of scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performance software systems.\n\n- Guide architectural decisions, technology selection, code quality, and engineering standards.\n\n- Review technical designs and ensure solutions align with long-term product and platform objectives.\n\n- Identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and system reliability issues, and drive appropriate remediation.\n\n- Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate opportunities to improve engineering efficiency and product capabilities.\n\nProduct Development and Delivery : \n\n- Partner closely with Product Management, Data Science, Data Engineering, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.\n\n- Own engineering delivery across planning, development, testing, deployment, and production support.\n\n- Break down complex initiatives into achievable milestones and manage dependencies, risks, and competing priorities.\n\n- Ensure predictable delivery while maintaining high standards of code quality, testing, performance, and reliability.\n\n- Track engineering metrics and continuously improve development processes, release cycles, and team productivity.\n\nSoftware Engineering Excellence : \n\n- Oversee the development of backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and data-intensive applications.\n\n- Promote best practices in code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and production monitoring.\n\n- Drive system scalability, availability, security, and performance optimization.\n\n- Establish effective incident management and root-cause analysis practices.\n\n- Encourage automation and continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration : \n\n- Work with product and business stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and prioritize engineering investments.\n\n- Collaborate with AI/ML and Data Engineering teams to integrate intelligent capabilities into enterprise products.\n\n- Communicate engineering progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.\n\n- Align engineering execution with customer requirements, business priorities, and product strategy.\n\nKey Success Metrics : \n\n- Consistent and predictable delivery of engineering commitments.\n\n- Improved product quality, system reliability, and application performance.\n\n- Effective team development, retention, and engineering product capabilities aligned with customer and business needs.\n\nRequirements : \n\n- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.\n\n- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with relevant experience managing or leading engineering teams.\n\n- Strong programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or similar.\n\n- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and software engineering principles.\n\n- Experience designing and developing scalable backend systems, APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.\n\n- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and data-intensive systems.\n\n- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployment practices.\n\n- Demonstrated ability to manage engineering delivery, resolve technical challenges, and develop engineering talent.\n\n- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.\n\n- A strong engineering leader with sound technical judgment and a hands-on problem-solving mindset.\n\n- Someone who can balance people management, architecture, and delivery execution.\n\n- A leader who encourages ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.\n\n- The ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced product environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications : \n\n- Experience building enterprise SaaS platforms or AI/ML-powered products.\n\n- Exposure to healthcare technology, healthcare data, claims processing, or data quality solutions.\n\n- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\n\n- Familiarity with data engineering frameworks, large-scale data processing, or distributed computing.\n\n- Experience with observability, reliability engineering, performance optimization, and production systems.\n\n-
